We have money to spend, a crowded roster to thin, and needs to address on the roster. And with no real prized free agents to pick from, it looks more and more likely that we are going to make trades this summer.
Wyc said that the asking price for a troubled player Ainge was working hard to acquire before the draft is dropping. Which troubled player is that? Could it be Jahlil Okafor, who did get into a fight with a man late one night during the season?
I don't know how much Ainge was working the phone lines with Sacramento, but I don't remembering hearing too much about Ainge's interest in DeMarcus Cousins.
Both bigs would satisfy Danny's desire to get stronger at Center. And both guys can only be acquired by trade.
And either one would bring an upgrade to our team and make us stronger.

I have read over the last two years that Danny has coveted Cousins. It was to the point to where Boston has always been at the top of the list as to where he would end up if the Kings couldn't fix the locker room under Karl. Well he's gone and they drafted a few centers, so it wouldn't make sense for them to trade him, but this is the Kings we are talking about so who knows what they are thinking.

You guys are probably already reading this on other sites, but there's talk that we are getting closer to trading for a guy who Celtics fans will like (and he's indicating it is not Okafor).
Wonder who this is? Who is a guy that majority of Celtics fans would like? Kevin Love?
There's mix feelings on Cousins, so maybe not him.
Gordon Hayward?

I'd rule out Love if it's someone Celtics fans will like. A few games of him playing matador defense and that would be out the window. I think Cousins would be liked more than Love. We'd like Hawyard but don't see them trading him. Vucevic? Just don't know. Embiid? But again I don't see them trading him. I'm at a loss to say who it could be.

Renouncing Sully had to be a prequel to a trade. Sully was a rotation player and the Celtics best rebounder. Seems that renouncing his rights was to clear space for a trade- That way they don't have to trade quite as much and can fit a player under the cap space.

Just saw an article predicting Okafor and Dario Saric traded to the Celtics. Maybe Saric is the one Celtics fans would like and Okafor just comes with him. But Okafor isn't a rebounder and isn't a defender. Doesn't really fill a need other than post scoring. Saric may be nice though.

Time for Single to get a new name. Trader or Tire kicker?

Maybe Westbrook? If he knows he's not going to re-sign with the Thunder, they could look to trade him now. OKC would be smart to trade him this summer, well before the trade deadline in February because at that point, no team is going to give up assets for a potential 3 month rental.
Some folks are saying its Blake Griffin. Not sure how I feel about that (neither yay or nay).

True on Griffin. Which one are you getting!? How would he play with Horford? Was he really any good after Paul joined the clippers? He is intriguing but probably expensive and ties you up cap wise..

Wow, things are heating up (if you can believe what some of these people are tweeting).
A three way trade between us, the Clips and the Kings, involving Blake Griffin, DeMarcus Cousins, and our Brooklyn pick.
I would imagine that if SAC loses Cousins, they won't feel too bad if they get Blake to replace him.
So I guess the question we need to ask is, are we comfortable giving up a potential [HASH]1 pick for either Blake or DeMarcus?

I don't like Griffin... Too much of a diva.
Cousins... I'd like I think being in a stable environment with stable teammates and a coach like Stevens he would be fine.

And Isaiah Thomas, of all people, would have a solid opinion on the type of person and player Cousins is. He played with him for a couple of years. If IT says he he's a real problem, I don't think Ainge would go after Cousins. So it could be that IT is giving a positive word and a thumbs up.

Very good point Derren! Danny was going after Cousins at the trade deadline and IT was on the team then and so I would think that you are right that IT is saying he's not that bad of a guy.
Now that you mention it, I can't picture Danny not asking his opinion since he played with him.

I think it's interesting Wyc referred to a troubled player. I find that kinda odd. Like is CP3 troubled? Is Tyreke Evans troubled? Bosh. Bosh is troubled. That is way too troubled for my liking. Rondo is troubled. He's not coming back. Greg Monroe? Brook Lopez? Melo?
