Powe is definitely a keeper, He has taken Oden out of the game with his physical play. He is playing with more confidence this season and I just love his hustle and toughness.

Yeah, Powe gives us a bunch of things we don't have enough of--interior rebounding, offensive rebounding, touchness (how many times did he take it right at Oden's chest?), etc.

Considering how really undersized we were in the frontcourt, its amazing that Powe and Davis were able to do their job and rebound the ball against Oden and Aldridge.
LaMarcus had a really good game, but most of his points came away from the basket. I think Powe and Davis did a really good job defending in the paint.
Rajon needs to become a factor offensively. He's limiting his impact by passing up so many layups. Gerald has got to be more aggressive. He's taking the ball to the basket more, and that's awesome to see. But later in the game, he started to settle for jumpers again. His ball handling has improved some since the season ended, but he still needs to use the rest of the summer to tighten it up.

That article about Wallace and comments about him are exciting. As I read the story, kudos go to Doc for seeing t he possibilities.

Green looks like he has gained some muscle. I love Leon Powe. He works so hard out there on the court. Wallace has a sweet stroke along with some good defense and rebounding. I am impressed with Wallace.... How did this kid not get drafted? Wallace was an undersized center at SC. Good thing for us, we see value of him at SF spot. From what i seen he's a good defender.

I think the roster will remain the same, at least for one more game. Allan Ray is being given the chance to stick with the team, and right now, I don't think its looking to good. Gabe Pruitt is looking good, and Pruitt has got size, speed, and athleticism over Ray. I like Ray because he has a very quick trigger, and that's necessary to have to be a good catch and shoot guy. But Gabe Pruitt has looked good shooting the ball, and because he's taller and quicker, he may make Ray expendable.
Plus, Ainge may need to make roster space for Brandon Wallace, if BW continues to show he's worth a spot on the team. Ray's spot may be given to Wallace if Ray doesn't turn his game up, and Wallace keeps impressing people.

Players to Watch: Leon Powe - Powe was impressive in his first SL game, shutting down Greg Oden while scoring 19 points and pulling down 9 rebounds.
Brandon Wallace - Brandon Wallace came out of nowhere to become the talk of Celtics Nation. He finished with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 1 steal, while playing solid defense and showing great athleticism. He missed practice due to a stomach bug but hopefully he will be full strength for the game.
Rajon Rondo - Rajon Rondo played very well in his first outing. He ran the team with confidence and seemed very poised on the court. He passed up too many layups to kick the ball back out to an open teammate. He will need to look more for his own shot when it is there.

Players to Watch C.J. Watson - Watson scored 13 points and pulled down 4 rebounds in his first SL game and scored 10 points in his second.
James White - The high flying and athletic White is capable of putting points on the board. He scored 13 points in his first SL game and 12 points in his second.
The Spurs are 0 and 2 and will be looking to get into the win column so will be playing hard. Hopefully the Celtics won't get complacent due to their win over the Blazers and will comeout and match the Spurs intensity. The Celtics have the advantage in experience on their team and unlike the Blazers, the Spurs don't have a huge height advantage.

Couple of things I'd like to see in this game:
I'm looking for:
-Rajon to pick and choose his scoring opportunities -Glen Davis to focus on rebounding, and using his strong body to gain good positioning -Gabe Pruitt to show his defensive abilities, and look to be an offensive weapon off the bench -Gerald to work on his dribble penetration more and get to the line -Powe to get the ball in the low post more

One thing I would really like to note is that Rajon may indeed need to look to score just a bit more. However, maybe it was just me, but he seemed to be purposely looking to pass first and get people involved vs Port.
If you look at Rajon during the last half of last season he would drive and score pretty well. His outside shot is another story...
At this point, I think it may be more important for him to drive and dish because it will come in handy when the season starts. We're not gonna need him to score more than 8-10 points with the shooting threats we have now.
The only thing is that when he finally did try to get a few buckets in the summer game vs Port., his rhythm was off. Just take a look at this game again and we see Rajon driving deep into the lane and then kicking it to the open may as the D collapsed. I do not think this to be coincidence.

So after I was trying to figure out a way to see the box score of this thing while my wife was in labor and neither of the unlces brought it I finally get to see it.
Oden with 10 fouls! But Big baby with 8! Alridge will be better than Oden this year. You watch.
Both teams shot horrid from the ft line, but especially ours.
I'm not at all happy with Rondo going 1 for 4, which if I understand correctly was a full court shot, so he was really 0-3 but even worse 50% from the line and only 1 assist.
Powe's stat line looks good best followed by GG
Wallace and Pruitt look good too
Is that Zendon Hamilton from St Johns playing for the Blazers? Isn't he like 102 years old?
Josh McRoberts. Why will nobody feel bad for him when he becomes the poster child of someone that should have stayed in school?

Upon closer inspection Allen Ray played ok with 2 assists and 0 TOs. Whereas Pruitt had the oppositte. Pruitt also had 0 rebs to Ray's 6. It's hard to say
Also the whole thing is screwy anyway. We had 8 assits and 10 TOs, but the Blazers had 8 and 16.
Both teams played bad. Wait for day 2.

Ray can play. I really would hate to dump him. Big Baby looks like he is going to be a player. He just needs to get under control a bit more. He's great on the boards though.
