Has anyone seen anything about a roster for Las Vegas?

Reckon Telfair will play?

Maybe Ben Pepper and Kris Clack will show up.

doc said in that interview that rondo, green, powe are the only definates right now. i was hoping we'd bring back terquin mott. no mention of telfair which is surprising.

If I were them i wouldn't play Rondo. If he breaks his ankle or snaps his ACL there goes the season

I have to guess Davis, Pruit, Allan Ray, and probably that guy from the NBDL that they called up would play

Summer League starts on Friday and there still isn't a roster posted. Doc mentioned that Big Baby, Smilin' Gabe, Rondo, Green and Powe will be on the roster. On NBA.com I found that they signed Powe, but couldn't find where they picked up Allan Ray's option, but there aren't reports about him being released, either. So we may or may not get to see Allan Ray and Ray Allen on the same team. Interesting again that there was no report in the Boston papers about the Celtics picking up Powe's option. Back to Summer League, there was a report some time ago that Albert Miralles and Sergio Sanchez from Spain will be there. A George Washington newsletter reported that former GW point guard TJ Thompson has been invited to the Celtics SL team also. More as it becomes available.

I am also going to sticky this so we can discuss the Summer League as it unfolds.

Some surprises there. Albert Miralles who was expected to come isn't on there. 7'1" Andreas Glyniadakis from Greece is on the roster. The Herald also had this to report:

Ainge said he planned to talk with Sebastian Telfair’s agent Andy Miller in Las Vegas this week and left open the chance that Telfair could practice with the team over the next two weeks. Though Ainge said Telfair probably wouldn’t play in the summer league for a fourth year, Ray’s appearance in the D-League last winter leaves one veteran roster spot for workout duty and the chance to see some game action if Telfair chooses. Telfair has been working out in Vegas in recent weeks along with Ryan Gomes.

The Celtics will practice tomorrow at 7:00 pm and at 11 am on Wednesday and Thursday in preparation for their first game on Friday night at 10:00 pm against Greg Oden and the Portland Trailblazers

Happy 4th Celtics fans...We've got a few updates from Vegas to pass along, courtesy of PR chief Jeff Twiss. First off, Twister reports that the summer Celtics had their first practice on Tuesday night, and "Big Baby" Glen Davis has already caught his eye.

Twiss notes that Davis has a feel for the game, and he showed some good passing and a nice touch on his mid-range jumper. He also notes Davis' "healthy attitude". Davis did suffer a minor injury, as he sustained a bent back toenail on his right foot, and then had it stepped on during Wednesday morning's practice for good measure. Ouch.

Twiss also noted that Sebastian Telfair has been practicing with the team as well. A slimmed-down Bassy recently bought a home in Las Vegas has been working out this summer alongside Ryan Gomes in with noted guru Joe Abunassar. He's not on the summer league roster, nor is he expected to play for the summer league team, but according to Twiss he was running through plays on the Green team with Rajon Rondo, Leon Powe, Gerald Green and Davis for most of Tuesday's session.

And while it was damp and drizzly for the fireworks in here at home, Twiss reports the temperature in Vegas at a toasty 115, roughly 50 degrees warmer than Boston.

The Celtics tip off their five game slate with a tilt against #1 draft pick Greg Oden and the Portland Trailblazers on Friday night, and you can catch all the action live on Fox Sports New England. Meanwhile, Celtics.com departs Sunday morning for the desert to catch games two and three in person, and then play-by-play man Sean Grande will be checking in with us from Vegas next weekend as well. Also, Strength and Conditioning Coach Bryan Doo hopes to send along some photos as well.

"...I arrived on July 2nd and I was exhausted from the travelling and so I rested. The first practice we had on the afternoon of the 3rd. What is to tell? It was very different from those in Spain, there was little rhythm because there was so many of us ( like 15, as if we were a football side!) and a lot of 'static' in the 5 on 5s. Practicing the pick and roll and the like.Evidently this practice was run in line with the principles of the Celtics, with Rondo and Green (how the guy can jump, spectacular).

Rondo was very nice the first day but later, when he asked me and I told him I played the point like him, he didnt say another word to me! I dont believe it is the competition that would lead to this but ok....I only intend on playing as well as I can and that is it. ..."
