Moving on from the Fournier experience. Nice while it lasted.
Might not get Mills either, as others teams are pursuing him.
Looks like maybe we're looking to pick up crumbs.

Semi Ojeleye signs with Mikwaukee, and Giannis sighs in relief!

Definitely look like we're saving our pennies to go after big free agent next off-season. I wasnt a big fan on paying Fournier due to one-dimensional offensive game. At least Langford/Neismith will get all the minutes that they need.

If we don't make a trade during the season, I hope we miss the playoffs. It would help with a sign and trade and/or we get lucky and can draft a difference maker. Making the playoffs just to get creamed in the first round does us no good.
We either need to go for a title or the top pick, anything in between you are in danger of becoming the mediocre Atlanta Hawks for most of their existence.

Let this be a year that we say to Tatum and Brown, "learn how to make each other and others around you better". And if we struggle early on while they work on it, so be it. Play the young guys and let them go through their growing pains. And if we struggle esrly on, so be it. I'm sure Tatum and Brown will understand the situation, that the aim is for a better tomorrow, while we wait for Beal (or whichever 3rd star we're saving our pennies for).

So how much money will we have available after we get rid of Smart to spend next year? I can't find it anywhere.

If we don't re-sign Smart, and with Horford's guaranteed money being a fraction of what it is, we're going to have enough to afford another max, I think. The only players making big money beyond Horford and Smart are the Jays (I believe Tatum is at 26 mil and Brown is at 24).

The truth of the matter is, we are not going to compete for titles until Tatum and Brown are in their prime (which is a couple of years away) and when we get that 3rd stud.
In the meantime, let them continue ascending, and continue drafting and developing players. And when that stud becomes available, be ready to strike.

I think the Wizards are asking for Brown in a trade for Beal, so I think we are waiting to just sign Beal outright after next season.

The Wizards have to get as much value as they can in a Beal trade. Bit in the end, if they see that they're going to lose Beal for nothing, then I think they'll settle for what we offer them.

Kemba has been bought out and is heading to the Knicks.
Good for him.

So is Kanter once again part of a three-headed center rotation? Before it was Theis/Kanter/Robert. Now it would be Al/Robert/Kanter.
Or does this mean Rwill or Al are being moved?
