I think if we will take on a contract they want to get rid of (Davis Bertans), and give them some assets (young players and draft picks), the Wiz will work with us on a trade for Beal. Smart and Horford + assets for Beal, and the TPE for Bertans. I would do that trade in a heartbeat. Yeah, but just wondering which young ones we'd have to sacrifice.

Well, if we get Beal, to go along with JB and JT, do we really need Romeo or Nesmith? Robert's health this season should be the primary factor in deciding whether we're willing to include him in a package for Beal. If he's hurt again, I won't mind parting with him. If he's healthy, I'm going to want to keep him.

As many as they want because we will be going for the vet minimum ring chasers. Nesmith, Pritchard, and Rwill (if healthy) should be kept. The rest can be added if needed as filler if needed if we don't want to give up that many picks.

If Schroder impresses, maybe we re-sign him after we get Beal, and Beal plays the 2.

The bench would have a good start of Pritchard, Nesmith and Betrains. Fill out the roster with cheap ring chasers and I think we have something brewing.

But my point is if we get Beal's 34mill we only have to send them back 34 - 17 now, right? I think that's 17. Isn't that exactly what Smart makes starting next year?

We have to get within 70% of what Beal makes. So if he makes 34M then we need to get to 23.8M plus have the space to absorb the rest of his salary in our Cao space. That is why Al and Smart (37M) for Beal and Bertrains (44M)makes sense numbers wise. Although we only have to get to 30.8 to make the trade legal.

No, it can't be combined with players or picks for a trade. So it could be used on it's own to get Bertrains, but then we would have to have a separate trade for Beal, Smart plus picks or young players could do it. It would a way to keep Al, if that is what they really want to do.

AFC is right. TPE's cannot be combined with other TPE's or with players. They have to be used straight up.

Yes to Garrison Matthewson. No to Arcidiacono.
