But the TPE has to be done during the season, right? I thought it expired after the season. Expires in a year, from what I hear. It would allow us to be players at the trade deadline to fill an area we need. Reading up on the TPE rules, we would have one year to use the TPE so it doesn't have to be used in the same season.

Ok, I guess we’re getting a TPE from Charlotte for Hayward

As we are presently constructed, what are we missing to seriously contend out of the East?
I mean, there’s a possibility that we’re not as good as last season’s team (you know, the one that played a month ago?), but there’s also the potential that we’re much better with the players we’ve acauired through draft and free agency.

We don't really have a front court scoring threat. (I'm counting Tatum as a wing here.) Thompson, Theis and RWill are all mostly defensive players, with a little offense thrown in. Maybe RWill can grow into more than that. Same with GWill, although he did start shooting 3s well at the end of the season. I'll miss that aspect of Kanter's game.
Other than lobs, putbacks, and setting screens and picks, I just don't see much offensive potential.

In Brad’s interview with Jeff Goodman and Bob Ryan, he said that ideally the offense will go inside first — on drives that lead to layups, fouls to get to the line, and then kickouts. To me that signals that we’re still going to be wings anf guards oriented, with bigs there to add supplemental scoring.

The Bucks have made 10 new acquisitions the past week. To me this is desparation to keep Giannis there.
On the other hand, Ainge has picked up 2 players thus far (and who knows how many other players if the IND trade went down). What that tells me is Ainge is not desperate, and is being patient to strike when the time comes.

Vegas odds (from what I read) has the Bucks at the top, next comes the Lakers, and third is ..................
the Boston Celtics!!!!
How do you like that?? We lose Gordon Hayward and they still predict us that high. I guess they believe Tatum is taking the next step into superstardom.

I looked at last year's trade deadline moves. The biggest one where a team got a good player for not many assets was Andre Drummond to the Cavs. I suppose if we cut Semi it would clear another million I think. Maybe the end of bench guys could go. Maybe we could send someone back in a move.

We can spend around 22 mill of that TPE. Olidipo's makes 21 mill this year. If Indy struggles out the gate, i could def see Ainge make an offer for him

I was looking at salaries around the league and I noticed both Olidipo and Julius Randle fit nicely under that $22 mil number.

I wouldn’t mind Gary Harris. He, or Terrence Ross, or George Hill, I’d day that type of player / scorer is who I’d prefer getting.
