Signing GH for that much money has a much better chance of being a terrible signing than a good one.
Don't look now but we're now one of the youngest teams in the league. Of the guys who play, only Kemba at 30 and Theis at 28 are over 26 years old.
Great opportunity for Nesmith and Romeo to show what they have.

As of now we won't have the talent to do anything. We still need to see how what our roster ends up as but as of now we are a mid to lower seed in the East. Kemba still has health issues, Tatum is sift, Brown doesn't seem to have any alpha in him and Smart is one of the dumbest players in the league and will see this as an ok to brick even more shorts. We do have talent. We have a young 22 year old on the verge of being All-NBA, a just made 24 year old who’s making big strides and this year averaged 20 ppg, and Kemba Walker. Both Jaylen and Tatum are trending the right direction, and are looking to take the next step. We’re surrounding them with solid, but unspectacular, players who fill their roles. Crossing fingers, but Nesmith and Pritchard are the perimeter threats we’ve been missing. GWill and RWill are the interior muscle and high flyer on defense. Smart and Theis are solid and proven. Now, everyone has to be on the same page and do their part for this team to be a well oiled machine. But like Toronto a couple of years ago, it is possible for a disciplined team with lots of role players to win it all. That’s what I’m hoping and thinking we’ll be. People calling for Danny's head are out of their mind. On the other hand I am tired of banking on "hope" that everything will work out perfectly for us and then we "might" have a chance to compete with the big boys. We have been in rebuild mode since the Pierce and KG trade and now have watched our rivals tie us in championships and now have a chance to pass is up while we are still waiting for our "hope" to come true.

Tristan Thompson seems good. Not sure how we afforded him

The team is younger, cheaper, and better now

In Tristan Thompson, we have a guy is solid rebounder, and brings championship experience with him.
Little more than I would have liked to spend.

And they’ve got a chance to stick together and build chemistry. And again, the future looks bright for this team. Maybe not this year, but the window will begin to open pretty wide from next year on (as Tatum and Jaylen inch closer and closer to their prime).

Jeff Teague

Teague is a solid veteran backup who is not a diva asking for his shot attempts. But when his opportunities come, he’ll take and convert them.
Also gives Pritchard some leash to learn the ropes, and not having to rely on him if he’s not ready. And if he is ready, Teague is only on a one year deal.

Seems like something is still in the works.
But I’ve already moved on. If something happens, good. If not, I wasn’t hoping for it anyways.

Well, with Thompson and Teague, we're no longer so young, but at least our core guys are.
I like that we are bigger at center. Thompson is a real center and won't get pushed around. I wonder what this means for Theis and RWill.
I still think there is room for a trade for a PF. Keeping both Theis and RWill seems like a luxury. RWill needs to play to get better, and Theis has proven that he deserves minutes. I don't know that either guy really works alongside Thompson.
I also like Teague as a backup PG. I'd rather have the ball in his hands than Smart's. Will we keep both Waters and Pritchard?

Theis is a year away from either moving to another team or being reupped. But I don’t get the impression he’s integral. Just a placeholder until RWill (or somebody else) is ready. I think GWill has a shot at being our future 4. It all depends if he adds enough offense. Defensively, he’s going to be the vocal middle linebacker who orchestrates the defense. Providing enough offense to keep his defender near him will determine his role. But by all means, if a PF can be had right now via trade who will be a clear upgrade over GWill now and in the future, I’m all for it.

Im happy with the Tristan signing. Would've preferred Favors or mark gasol on a one year deal, but Tristan is fine. he's great on the boards, and a surprisingly solid perimeter defender. and he seems to be developing an outside shot.
