Ainge needs to come through with a veteran scorer off the bench. Someone whom defenses have to worry about.
That would be the final piece for me.

Good question! I'd guess Theis, just because of the familiarity.

Who starts for us at center could depend on who we're playing that night.
I wouldn't rule out Nesmith being a scorer right away. That kid can shoot, and we saw what Herro did for Miami this year.
Also, I'm gonna say that Pritchard is going to become a fan favorite for his intensity. I'm just not sure how soon he'll get a chance to play.

Seems like something is still in the works. But I’ve already moved on. If something happens, good. If not, I wasn’t hoping for it anyways. I'm reading Danny Ainge is currently trying to make a sign and trade scenario of Gordon Hayward to the Hornets to create a trade exception that would be enough to get a sign and trade for a player like Bogdanovic

For Nesmith, if he can improve his dribbling so that he can be more manueverable, he’s a Kris Middleton clone. Yeah, and I’m not ruling out him starting as a rookie either. If he can shoot 40% from the getgo, and grasp the defensive schemes, with his height, it’ll be hard to keep him out of the lineup.

Still wondering about Bogdan Bogdanovic. Is he that proven scorer off the bench we need? Can he come in and give us 12?

I thought it expired after the season.

It would allow us to be players at the trade deadline to fill an area we need.

Bogdan Bogdanovic signs with ATL, 4 years, 72 mil (18 per). That’s pretty rich for my blood.
Speaking of rich, ATL is overloaded with wings now.
Gallinari (recently signed) Bogdanovic (recently signed) DeAndre Hunter Kevin Huerter Cam Reddish
Even Tony Snell and Kris Dunn, but they’re more guards than forwards.
No way you’re going to give those young guys much playing time when you are paying big bucks to Gallinari and Bogdanovic. And if they’re playing Gallinari at the 4, then that means John Collins is at Center. But what if Okwongwu is flashing promise and they start playing him more?
That’ll probably push Collins out the door.
But still, they have too many wings. Wonder if Ainge has any interest is DeAndre Hunter (a two way player who I liked in last year’s draft) or Kevin Huerter (a terrific 3pt shooter)?

I don't see us going after another wing. With Teague on board, and having drafted Pritchard, who as a four year college player should be ready to step right in, Smart will probably see a lot, maybe most, of his time at SG. Then you have Brown, Tatum and Nesmith. Green is there for emergency depth. If we need depth anywhere it's up front.

I’d like to get a good catch and shoot player off the bench. An instant scorer who comes in, and immediately Tatum finds him open for a 3.

I think that's Nesmith. He's supposed to be deadly both on catch and shoot and coming off screens.
