Jahlil Okafor is still on the blocks. And still, no team has traded for him (and it doesn't seem like Philly is asking for much -- maybe a second round pick?).
Gary Washburn said we've long had interest in Okafor.
We still have a roster spot to fill, and we still are short handed upfront.
I don't mind giving up a second round pick for Okafor, and just use him for 8 minutes a game when we play against a weak frontcourt and can exploit them.

I think BC from PHI does not want to trade him to BOS, because of the Ainge factor (getting fleeced)!

At this point, I think Collangelo would rather trade him anywhere, and get something in return, even a second round pick. The only way Ainge fleeces Collangelo is if he asks for a first rounder along with Okafor in exchange for our 2nd round pick

Okafor is a skilled offensive player. However, a poor defender/rebounder/shot blocker.

From the moment Okafor was drafted, he was sulking. Remember the introductory press conference, in which he and two others stood on stage, lifting up their new jerseys? Well, he let his jersey fall to the floor as he flippantly turned and walked away. Then he played the next couple of seasons on a team geared to lose, in order to tank and get more draft picks. He wasn't being developed, he was being encouraged to win -- which made his situation all the more disappointing. And then year after year, his name is on the trade block. And then along comes Embiid, injuries and all, and he's being hailed as the next great Center, while Okafor is a punchline waiting to be laughed out of Philly.
This kid needs to shed pounds, he needs to tone up his body, he needs to be rejuvenated and get excited about playing again, and not being affected negatively by all the junk around him. At 21 years old, Okafor still has a great chance of finishing his career on a meaningful note.

In an ironic twist Perk was the guy who was cut by the Cavs to make room for Wade in Cleveland. I didn't know that he was even in a camp this year. I knew he was supposedly in shape and had the desire to play again, but didn't hear that he had a camp invite from anyone.

Well then the internet lied to me...lol. A fried of mine who is a Faker fan sent me a link that said it was him. But to be fair, this Faker fan has an unhealthy hatred for Perk. I never quite understood as to why.

Gary Harris, 4th year player of the Denver Nuggets, just signed a 4 year, 84 million dollar contract extension
Look, i've been a fan of Harris since he came out of Michigan State, and he's a guy I wanted Danny to draft. But to see him getting paid 21 mil per year, that'll raise eye brows. Don't see how a non-All-Star player gets that much money.
Marcus Smart is up for an extension, and it's arguable that Smart has had a bigger and more important role for us than Harris has had for the Nuggets -- but I'd still feel reluctant to give Smart 20+ per year.

Yeah that seems like a bit of an overpay.

These teams are going to find themselves capped out and short of talent if they continue to overpay. This is where Danny shines. He won't let emotions force him into a move that will hamstring the organization.

He won't let emotions force him into a move that will hamstring the organization. I think Danny's right hand man, Zarren, has alot to do with the success of building the team. The CBA is a huge factor in building a team, esp the luxury tax (or repeater tax). Max contract players have to be truely max contract players. Teams signing fringe players, ex: Harris, will not have the necessary cap space to sign the talented players that win championships.

Bogut was just put on waivers by the Fakers. Is anyone interested on kicking the tires on him since he is a good defensive center and can score? I just worry about the injury risk and don't know if it is worth a guaranteed contract, maybe some 10 day contracts to see if he can stay healthy.

Comes down to this for me: does Bogut help us get by the Cavs and Warriors? Even if he's healthy, does he? Both teams can play lineups with "centers" that can shoot outside, pulling Bogut out of the paint where he is most effective. I think we'll pass.
