Sources: Rajon Rondo agrees to one-year deal with Pelicans. @shamscharania report. I can see this addition (Rondo) further crumbling the Pelicans (which is good, cause then AD will not want to re-sign). New Orleans now have Cousins AND Rondo to worry about self destructing and being a pain in the coaches side.

Kyrie Irving has asked to be traded.
Extremely gifted scorer, but maybe not a good fot for us.

Kyrie Irving has asked to be traded. Extremely gifted scorer, but maybe not a good fot for us. I am somewhat surprised. Not a good fit for the Stevens system, which emphasizes ball movement.

How does this kind of information get leaked to the public, unless one party, or both, want it out there?

One writer just posted that IT and Kyrie both had the same defensive rating last year but IT was more a more efficient scorer and had better assist numbers. I haven't looked it up myself, but if that's true, we don't need Kyrie, as long as IT's hip is good to go.

Right now, BOS is 1-year or less from making it to the NBA Finals perennial. Next year, BOS could be adding 2 top-5 selections. Wyc, "its good to be a Celtics fan now!"

Tyler Zeller signed a 2 year contract with the Nets. Tony Allen signed with the Pelicans and will join Rajon Rondo there.

I hope Zeller has a career year and makes the All-Star team. I hope D'Angelo Russell and Allan Crabbe make huge contributions. I hope they str a surprise team and play near .500.
I don't want CLE to get a high pick in next year's draft.

Andre Bogut is near being medically cleared for basketball, after suffering a broken leg.
4 teams are interested in him. I wonder if we are?

I believe tha the Celtics are one of the teams that are interested. Right after the Kyrie trade they had Thomas Robinson in for a workout and at the same time they said that the Celtics were in talks with Bogut's camp. One of the articles said that Bogut was very interested in the Celtics.

And it isn't like we need him to be a savior of sorts. Just another vet big who can fill in 10 - 12 minutes. Whatever defense and rebounding he can bring in his few precious minutes will be beneficial for us.

Andrew Bogut chooses to sign with the Lakers.
Here I thought he was looking to sign with a contender. I guess the lure of the purple and gold, and reuniting with Walton, being enticed by Magic, and the prospect of more playing time outweighed the chance to play in the Finals with us.
Oh well. Hopefully Bogut doesn't impact them too much.

Hopefully Bogut doesn't impact them too much. Well, he played all of 20 minutes for the Cavs last season before getting hurt. He's very injury prone and so who knows how much he'll play anyway. Bad thing about it is that if he doesn't get injured and he plays well he may pull that Lakers pick out of the top 5.
