The Warriors spent that last 2.9M on an old friend of ours (KG's) in Zaza Pachullia. If that is their inside presence, then they are in trouble.

Call us and begin a Smart, Jaylen, Rj Hunter, Memphis 2019 pick, and Amir Johnson for Westbrook deal I agree, if OKC decides to tear it all down we need to make an offer for Westbrook. Dude is a beast. I kinda love having all the cap space we have though, and NOT giving anything up. And he'd have to agree to resign like KG did. I'd probably rather just stay the course and keep adding young, cheap talent and signing free agents. THEN if needed we can still make a trade. To me the whole Smart for one of the 76ers bigs thing is still something I'm pretty interested in. I'd rathe have Okafor myself for a few reasons. At least if Terry Rozier and Demarius Jackson seem like they can play.

The Sixers are a good fit to do a trade with. Why are you interested in Okafor, though? Not objecting, just want to hear your side.

I've never been high on Noel because he's so skinny and has snapped both is ACLs I think. I feel like Okafor could just be told "You're big job is to rebound and play defense and that's it" and I feel like he'd get that. I'm not sure how the Noel experience would go, and I also think the price on Okafor could be cheaper. Also he has an extra year on his rookie contract

Also he has an extra year on his rookie contract My only beef with Okafor is that in the games i've watched of him in Duke and in the NBA, he doesn't exactly move very fast for the transition game and once he gets into the half court sets, he sorta just sits in the paint area waiting for the ball..there isn't much else he does actively i.e. active screening or pulling opponents away from the paint to clear the way for slashers.

Things like that are why it's nice to have the best coach in the league

You might be on to something here.
While the league goes further away from the basket (bigs taking three's), inside scoring big men are becoming extinct. But that doesn't mean there's no need for them. Points are points, and if you can keep defenses on their toes by scoring inside and outside, wouldn't that kind of balance be a good thing?
Larry Bird must be thinking like this too. He just signed Big Al Jefferson to play for his Pacers.
