Yup that was def a disappointing showing. And on the other side, my goodness is Kevin Durant something else. He's gonna be pretty high on the all-time list once it is all said and done. He earned major points from me today. Played all 48 minuted and came up huge. Killer mentality. If Kyrie wasn't on the team, I might've just became a Brooklyn fan. |

I think Durant just added a HUGE amount to his reputation. I like Durant, always have, and he was the best player on the 2 GS titles teams he was on, but this is the first time he basically did it by himself. And to play all 48! Who does that anymore? And from what I just read, he went to Nash and volunteered to stay on the court as long as needed. It's too bad he's teamed up with Irving and Harden, two of the more odious players in the league.

Terry Rozier gets a 4 year 97 mil new contract.
Wow, this is why Charlotte continues to be a team that never breaks out. You are never going to contend with the bulk of your money tied up to Hayward and Rozier. LaMelo is exciting, but we'll see if he's a winner.

Charlotte def makes some questionable moves. Though I do get why they'd want him. I think he's a good pairing with Lamelo. He can guard the other team's PG, and he's got a nice jumper, and Lamelo can run the team, which was never Terry's forte to begin with. But unless Lamelo really makes the leap into superstardom, this team doesn't seem to have any way to get out of the 45 win, first round knockout cycle.

Unfortunately, in today's market, non-Allstars, non-All-NBA Teamers get paid 24 million. Getting Smart at 17 mil seems better in comparison (plus, Smart is an All-NBA Defensive teamer). I think it was the right move to let Rozier go. Let some other team over pay for him and strap down their salary cap. |
