Not only that, but to have another first round pick in this draft too!
I'd be happy if we grab Doug McDermott with our Atlanta/Brooklyn pick. This kid is an unbelievable shooter and crafty scorer. He's more a complete scorer than Reddick and Korver, plus he's got better size than them. And he's a solid rebounder too. Smart kid as well.

Portland is turning out to be quite the surprise this season. That said, their team is pretty stacked.
Aldridge is his usual All-Star self. Lilliard showing his last season wasn't a fluke and that he is an All-Star for years to come. Matthews is his usual productive scoring self. Batum is just...so well-rounded. He scores, rebounds and dishes. Hes the swiss army knife on that team and frankly one of the best in the game at being an all-rounder. Lopez gave them that final big man they needed who could rebound.
This is a very impressive team.

Portland is def ripping it up so far. They are a fun team to watch. I do worry that their lack of big man depth may catch up to them if they have any sort of injury.

This Rudy Gay to the Kings trade....I don't see what the Raptors are gaining here or what they're getting or why they're doing this

From what I've read it is two-fold. They want to get Terrence Ross more minutes, and they want to tank. Word on the street is they will move any player besides Jonas.

I kinda see why they don't want Gay. He shoots too much and at too low of a FG%. Hes taking up shots that would otherwise help his team win or his teammates develop. Plus Gay is on a massive contract and not one that is worth his production. Kings on the other hand...i dont quite get why they want Gay. They have guys who need their own shots like Isaish Thomas and Cousins.

I think Gay can opt out of his contract. I think he'd be giving up 19 mill a year in 141-15 if he did. I wonder if Gay and Sacto will work on a long term deal? I'd be afraid to commit big money to that guy.

Was just looking at the stats for teams around the NBA...The top 10 teams in the Western Conference all average 103+ points per game. Only three teams in the East average more than 100ppg (Miami, Atlanta, and Philly).

Toronto is playing some solid basketball right now. I doubt they have much of a chance of making any noise in the playoffs, but good for them to actually be in the play-off hunt. That fan base deserves a chance to root for a winner (even if it's only the Atlantic that they are winning).

Was talking to a friend of mine that is a Bucks fan (they do exist!), and he was talking up the future of the franchise. The Greek Freak, Henson, and Sanders has the potential to be an all-world defensive frontcourt. Their length would be just ridiculous. And once Ersan gets healthy he'll be a solid offensive forward off the bench. If they can score a dynamite guard in the draft, their future is gonna look pretty bright.

I get the feeling the NBA's top teams are coasting abit. I got slightly excited that we gave ourselves a chance to beat the Heat a few days ago..and then today I see them trample the Spurs. So who are the Heat? Someone we can beat or someone who allows us to beat them? It reminds me of the Big 3 days when we play to the level of our competition.

www.nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/news/article.cfm?c_id=6&objectid=11198169"When Louis Corbett's parents were told their young son was losing his sight they asked him what he'd like to do before his vision was completely gone. The 12-year-old's biggest wish was to watch the Boston Celtics basketball team play live in America - something the family are now working hard to make happen before it's too late." This touched me. I hope to god that whichever game he goes to...that the Cs show up.
