John Wall is starting to reach his ceiling. The talent is there -- now it's starting to click for him.

John Wall has always had court vision and speed. I think his biggest weakness was his mid range which he has now improved. Which is...concerning that some guys can improve over a season or two. Yet someone like Rondo while he does have great court vision, still has a very dinky looking mid range. I dont quite get it.
That said, derrick williams to the kings just made them better. one more team that perhaps gains more wins ahead of us.

Growing up, I doubt Rondo watched any shooting videos, or put an emphasis on becoming a great shooter.

Yeah and it really shows. For years he has had that weird looking elbow hitch to his shot. Not that others havent had weird looking but successful shooting forms. However it doesnt seem to be working for Rondo and Im wondering why he doesnt try fully extend his arms when shooting, to give his shot a better arc.
Seriously if Rondo had a shot, he'd be an even better passer. I know how crazy it sounds to connect the two but its true. If a defense doesnt back off him that much because they dont respect his shot, he would have wider passing lanes.

His poor jumper bothers me, but his inability to hit free throws, and his subsequent aversion to going to the line, are what concerns me the most about his offensive game. He's one of the best slashers in the league, but he never looks to draw contact, which is unforgivable.

Free throws alone can add 3 - 4 more points to his scoring average, which would bump him from a mid teens scorer to a 20 ppg guy. That puts him in another stratosphere.
And before someone says they could care less about Rajon's scoring because he's a pass first PG, scoring the ball makes him a greater asset to the team and ultimately improves our chances to win.

The Suns are the surprise team of the NBA right now. Projected to be one of the bottom 3 teams in the league, they currently are 8th in the standings with a 9 - 7 record.

Memphis, Golden State, and Minnesota are currently not in the playoff standings. I can see them being active before the deadline to bolster their roster.

Wow, the East is so weak it's pitiful.
The 3rd place team are the Hawks, with a 9 - 8 record.
We are in the 8th spot with a 7 - 11 record.
Awful.

Both Memphis and Minnesote are looking for a swingman scorer...every good game that Green has, increases his value to them. Golden State however...I think they stay pat. They have guys who need to get healthy and once they do, they'll be very good.

Brooklyn gets a win and Atlanta loses. We need these two teams to finish near each other.

Bucks and Jazz pick up their 3rd wins of the season.
Cleveland and Brooklyn are now 5 - 12, just one game behind of us.

Cavs and Nets are too talented not to be better. Especially when they can feed on the East's weak competition. My worry is the Jazz who have to go through the West's gauntlet. However even if they are the worse team in the West, lottery balls may not necessarily bounce their way. Plenty of worse teams never end up with the no.1 pick.
And the funny thing is...if the Jazz do end up with the no.1, I say they take Marcus Smart. They already have Hayward at the SF, Favors at PF, Kanter at C..not much room for a Wiggins, Parker or Randle and they do have a pressing need for a top tier PG unless Trey Burke suddenly shows he is that guy for them.
As for the Bucks...if they get the no.1, I pity whoever goes to that sad franchise. Like a dead end for careers.

The Jazz like Trey Burke -- he's a better PG than Smart.
Utah would likely go with Jabari if they had the chance -- the Mormom connection is obvious.
Yep, you are right -- the worst team record wise don't usually get the ping pong balls to fall their way. Actually, I think it was 3rd and 6th place teams who actually ended up with the #1 pick the most, oddly enough.
6th place is ideally where we end up. That way we'd end up with a good shot at #1, and if we miss out, the worst place we'd be picking is 6th. We are still going to get a high quality player at 6, no matter who it is (Wiggins, Parker, Randle, Smart, Exum, Embiid).
