Hard to believe we added 6 new players to last year's team, which was pretty new to begin with--and I'm not even counting Borchardt or Woods.
Some may head to the developmental league. The others will have supporting roles on the team.
Which player will have the greatest impact on the team this year?

I voted for Scalabrine. It could also be Dickau (I believe Ryan Gomes has an outside chance), but overall, I think Scalabrine will offer a big man presence off the bench for us that will be more impactful than Dickau's presence at the PG spot.
With a decent amount of minutes per game, I feel Scalabrine could be a 8 ppg, 6 rpg big man.

My guess is Gomes. Between Ryan and Justin banging bodies in practice we should gain from at least one of them come game time. It might be indirect but I think having Gomes will raise the level of competition for our entire team. He might just push Reed to the next level or push right on by him.

I voted for Dickau although Scalabrine was a real close 2nd.

Shows you the depth we have on the team, or have the ability to have. The depth on this team in a few years is going to be unbelievable.

Well, yeah, it should be pretty good looking this year. But it'll only be a glimpse of what is to come because we can't expect Gerald Green and Orien Greene to be contributors in their first year. Though Gomes may be ready to produce in some fashion.

Depends on where you had that finger last.
Gomes is a type of player who can emerge as a starter. I think he's a solid talent, not quite star material. His game has been described as 'meat and potatoes', which bodes well for me. If he can provide scoring and rebounding from the SF spot, that will work for us.

Yeah, Reed's got more game than he's shown in his limited minutes. I feel that he's more of a SF than Gomes is, while Gomes is more of a PF than Reed is. Both are tweeners, but one is better suited at the SF spot and the other at the PF spot. This will make it easier for Rivers to determine whom to bring in.

Between the two, it might come down to scrap and floor-burns... And Perk - picking them up.

Yeah, Perk the big brother ;D
Reed's got more speed and foot quickness than Gomes. He can get around the court with his dribble quicker than Gomes. But I think Gomes is better around the basket and is a more natural scorer than Reed is. Reed is more defensive and Gomes is more offensive.
