Nonetheless, both Lebron and Wade are the next generation of NBA players who are media darlings as well as exceptionally talented players who are bearers of the torch passed on from Jordan, to Grant Hill, to Kobe, and now to Lebron, Wade, and Amare. Hopefully a Celtic (or 2) will get in on the torch bearing and lead the way into the next generation.

Derren, its not gonna be that way. Our new team of youngsters will not have any superstars between them. Al J will not be a superstar. I'd say an 17 and 9 player. Green most likely will not. But Green is the closest to becoming a superstar anyways.

Yeah, but I'll settle for the both of them becoming stars.

Settle all you want but just don't be disappointed if Al J is not a 20 and 10+ player or Green doesn't become another McGrady.

I could live with 17 and 9 from AJ, especially if its a good 17. That means low turnover, high FG% good shot selection. Not this chucking up 30-40 shots to score in the lows 20s. But 20 shots to score in the high teens that I could live with.

Yea half of what Walker chucks up anyways. And it would be on the low block! So he'd have far less misses than Walker. Walker didn't even hit his layups lol. Its like he has IPS meaning "Inside Play Syndrome". It has to be. Walker misses down low more than Jefferson does. Jefferson just has that natural low post scoring feel.

It's like 50% of the people see the intangibles Antoine adds, his uptempo play, his leadership, his confidence- and the other half see's his poor shooting % and questionable decision making at times. One thing is for sure, he works his butt off and takes responsibility for things that go wrong...

I'd rather have a player who makes things go right. I think Al J has that chance and I don't want Walker contaminating him. Dude AW is like that guy Rider who was bounced out of the league, just without all the legal issues and headcase insanity. He's a good player who sucks. Those players are ultimately not good. I'd rather have Walker than some players. But ultimately I'd like the Cs to get to the final round of the playoffs and not have AW taking responsibility for it not happening

When AJ is a 10/5 player in the NBA and Scalabrine is leading our team at the PF position in two/three years, I am sure you will change your tune. There aren't a lot of players who can legitimately play with the game on the line...just another one of his intangibles that everyone seemed to forget while he was gone.

I think a lot of us don't give Walker enough credit, while you may be giving Walker too much credit.
But take a look around the league and see where his value is. That is a better indicator of his true value from a neutral perspective.

I think Walker is productive. But that doesn't mean I think he is a good team player or makes good choices. His shot selection is just terrible to coin a phrase from Walton.

Even if Al J becomes a dud I will never change my tune about AW. Even if AW becomes good and efficient and leads a team to a championship I will not change my tune. If Bledsoe leads the Cowboys to 3 championships and people start saying to me "man we should have kept him and not Brady" I will say the same thing to them as I will for AW or for the people that think we should have kept Roger Clemens "Yeah, but he sucked when he was with us."
