Not to be one more person who thinks were gonna get Greg Oden but if he deals a lot of it like all these guys: Allen, all of next yrs draft, Perkins, West. Maybe that will earn him the #1 pick when Greg Oden is coming out. Thats surely a lot of our future I will say that. This idea is ridiculous I would say but you just never know seeing that a gm can't have great drafts every single year for 4-5 years. He might just trade all that he drafted besides Al J and Green for 1 big prospect like an Oden.

I would want a guarantee of Oden and not be taking a chane like the way Pitino actually thought we might get TD and KVHorn in the same draft. Man he was dumb. Worst GM ever? Maybe. I know what you're thinking and that guy from the Clippers doesn't count.

Yea eja, it wouldnt be worth trying to get Oden by junking a season. Maybe 6 or 7 of our young players and 2006 draftees included (not naming Al J or Green) could get us the #1 and extra fillers if its Oden.

I wouldn't have minded trading 6 or 7 players even with Al j included for L James. I have no idea if Oden will be like that. I kinda doubt it.

I live in Ohio and L James can't shoot real well, I wouldn't. I like Wade better than him.

C4Life, I like Dwayne Wade a lot, but I'd surely take Lebron over him. I just love watching this kid play. He's got tremendous heart and determination, and otherworldly physical gifts and basketball talent. I probably haven't seen as many CLE games as you have, but whenever they are on tv, I do watch them. And every year, Lebron improves his shooting. His slashing and penetrating are already incredible, so that jumper is going to make him unstoppable. He's going to lead the league in scoring very soon.
Back to the Oden talk, maybe this is a reason why Ainge could hold onto Pierce. Maybe it'll be a draft day trade where the team who picks Oden will give him to us for Pierce and some of our other assets.
But if we don't get a chance to grab Oden, there's always a shot at OJ Mayo, another big time prospect, only he's a PG and not a C.

back to the original message. I have a feeling that the whole "Banks on the block" rumor is based on thin air. Banks didn't play in the summer league & all of the sudden he's going to get traded. This feels like nothing more than summer newspaper filling to me.
The fact that your source predicted the Walker trade doesn't mean much either. It was not as if it was so hard to come up with. If he would have predicted a 3-way trade involving 4 or 5 players, than i would give him more credibility.

sounds like this rumour has very little legs to it besides starting "I put my credibility behind this!!"
I doubt Marcus Banks is going to be traded before preseason if anything unless a team like Seattle trades us Robert Swift for him.

No, it didn't all of a sudden start because Banks didn't play in the summer league. Last summer, he was actually traded away--if anything, that was a big indication that Ainge was set on making Delonte the future PG. And it makes sense because PG is a very difficult position to learn and getting 3 young PG's the playing time they need to develop their skills is a luxury we don't have.

This is why Ainge is probably gonna go after a Sura or something. Not as much time to train all the young pg's. A lot of Wests development can be on whichever veteran pg comes in. He had GP last year, he'll have Sura or whoever else this year. It can benefit him that hes having multiple guys to learn from also.

Or perhaps the Lakers thought more highly of Banks than West at that time. It doesn't necessary mean that Ainge wanted Banks gone before West, it could mean that to obtain Payton, a future hall of famer, that he would have traded both of them but the Lakers just wanted Banks more. It could also mean that both are tradeable. Don't read to much in the positive comments that they express towards both PG's. As long as they're on our team, they wont say anything to get their motivation down. For all we know, Ainge may trade them both in a heartbeat if the right player is available.

Let me respecvtively tell you why I like Wade better. Wade had a real impact his rookie year, Derren, minus Shaq. Peeps forget that one.
Lebron did not really do to much his rookie year. Wade did and he carried his team far in the playoffs. Both their teams were not great though but I think the Cavs had a better squad that year. Wade does well when the games matter. Anyone recall his triple double vs KY in the NCAAs? Wade has shown he can play at a high level when it counts. Their career stats:
Wade is 24 PPG -5.2 RPG -6.8 APG- 1.5 SPG- 1 BG - 48 % FG in 38.6 Min per game 3.75 TO James is 27 PPG- 7.4 RPG - 7.2 APG - 2.2 SPG - . 65 BPG 47% FG in 42.4 Min per game 3.36 TO
Closer than you thought I bet. Head to head Wade has dominated him though 4 -1 in wins to losses. 3 of these games in the Shaq free era.
I watched Lebron throughout his career. I see all the Cavs games I want and believe me they don't show all the air balls Lebron chucks in the highlight films. The kid has super talent but he is not a carry the team scorer and dogs it on D some. He really does have the basketball six sense that can see things before they happen and the super athletic prowess. Great player but doesn't have the killer instinct like Wade showed this year who might have won it all if not for the rib injury.
But mark my words Lebron won't see NBA rings in Cleveland. Wade stands a very good chance to win one with a healthly Shaq. But i respect your opinion, Derren and concede I am in the miniority. I would take Wade over him. That being said both these teams stink! Go Celtics!
I am not sure what Danny will do. Unless we get a PG Banks is secure I think.

Wade has a better chance w/ Shaq. Shaq is diesel. Imagine if he ever showed up for an NBA season, in prime-time shape?
Lebron, the Cavs don't have the players to surround him. Hughes was a good pick-up. Always liked him, and always heard about him since my sister went to St Louis Univ w/ him.

Lebron, Heads over tails...
Hell, they both rock! Look at the teams.
LB is solid w/out a major big.

Cool, C4ever. You really can't go wrong with either player. I enjoy watching both guys. Along with Amare, these 3 guys are my favorite young players in the NBA.
