I've seen a coupla movie this year. They cost me about 9.50 per ticket and I usually avoid cinema food as they cost too much. Usually I just bring my gf for dinner before the movie..that way shes usually too full for popcorn

I used to have it made here Fargo. Matinees were $5 and anything after was $7. But all of our theatres were bought out a couple of years ago, and the prices jumped to $7 and $9, respectively. Concession prices jumped as well, but I rarely get them anyway (occasionally get a pop if I'm thirsty). Growing up, my Dad thought it was outrageous to pay $3 for popcorn, so concessions were never an option.
My hometown theatre is a trip. I dunno what the prices are now, but it used to be $4 movie, $5 if it was R rated. And a medium popcorn was $1, $1.50 if you wanted butter. A medium pop was also a buck. people would go there just to by popcorn.

We do have a 2.00 theater here in the mall. But the movies don't get to there until they are already out on video. Still, if you want to watch a movie in a theater it is a good option. You just have to wait awhile. And they don't get all the movies in so it isn't usually a good idea to wait to watch a movie there if it is one you really want to watch. They have a popcorn ans soda special for 3.00 and so it is really a good deal for if you just want to go to the theater to watch a movie.

Well, I used to have you guys all beat. We used to have this $1 theater ($0.50 for matinee), and they would play recently new movies--you just had to wait like a month after the release of the movie.
But they done away from that a couple of years ago. Too bad.
We pay $10 for movies in Hawaii.

We still have a dollar theatre, except now it's 1.50 for matinees and $2 for evening shows. I'll usually hit it up a few times a year. i'd go more often, but since Fargo has close to 30,000 college students, you can imagine what the crowds are like.

Saw New Moon today. Very good. The best chick flick ever. It has invented a new genre ....the romantic horror.
The author has done a very good job producing a whole world that clearly has a history and a future.
The books and movies have clearly created a mass female fantasy the likes of which haven't been seen since Titanic. It's like Star Wars for chicks

I haven't been to movie in the theatre for a while now, but I have been plowing through a ton of movies via netflix.
The Corporation- Very good documentary about the rise of corporations. Scary, depressing stuff.
Shakes the Clown- raunchy comedy starring Bobcat Goldthait. Typical 8os comedy, that somehow came out in 1991. Seems older than that. Features Adam Sandler in what has to be one of his first movie roles. It has its moments.
Stalag 17. 50s comedy set in a POW camp during WWII. Billy Wilder directed, William Holden stars. It's a lot of fun, but like a lot of comedies, it hasn't aged well.

So far I've hesitated to even go near the movie. I didn't watch the first and I figured I wouldn't get the storyline in the second.. I'm the kinda guy that loved Inglourious Basterds..you reckon I'll like New Moon?

I was suckered into watching part of the first one. It was awful. The reviews said the new one is better, but I'm still gonna pass. Call me old fashioned, but I was brought up to believe that vampires exploded when placed in sunlight, not sparkle like 5th grade girl's trapper keeper. Also, like 99% of vampire movies, I usually decide halfway through that seeing Lost Boys for the 200th time would be more enjoyable than see whatever I'm watching now for the 1st time, and switch movies.

Inglorious Basterds comes out on dvd tomorrow. That's one I have really wanted to see. We don't go to many movies in theaters cause of the cost and the size of the family so I wait for them to come out on DVD or in demand.

But I suppose if you have a big TV at home, it would do fine. Just a tip, turn up the volume for this movie. Its worth it.

You should watch the first one first or the second will either suck, make no sense, or both If the first one totally sucks to you then you can probably stop there
