Speaking of that, I just saw Gran Torino through ways i rather not say since it isn't released until Jan. 9th, and it was very good...Clint Eastwood has an incredibly strong presence in all his scenes and the movie itself is well-crafted and comes together to end very well...Some good humor and just a good movie all together..I definitely was pleasantly surprised even though i expected it to be good, just not that good...And yeah, Slumdog Millionaire was a very original and well directed movie...The camera angles and the way he goes about the storytelling really made the movie top-notch IMO...A bit touching and some scenes that really get to you(since it concerns the slums of India)... Saw Gran Tarino yesterday. Good stuff. Clint Eastwood is still an intimidating mofo even though he's pushing 80. Saw Doubt today. It was solid. Great acting, but nothing else really stood out.

Ok now I'm reconsidering Doubt. ben button is in at some point.
Also I saw the Sex in the City movie. Ok but I expected more. If you haven't seen the show you can still watch it but it would probably be worse.

I saw I am Legend the other night and I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. One thing I liked is that it seemed pretty short. A lot of movies are long. This didn't seem that way

The Hangover was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Tons of funny one-liners that you can use in your everyday life, plus Mike Tyson was in it. How can you get any better?

Ive heard nothing but good things about the Hangover.
Saw Up a while back. Very, very good.
Drag Me to Hell was the best horror movie Ive seen in the theatres since The Descent.
Going to check out Public Enemies on Wednesday. Michael Mann movies usually deliver.

Half of what I watch is kids movies these days. Saw Rattatouille the other day. Typical Disney film about how animals are really people and it was ok. Saw the Star Trek movie a while ago. Pretty sweet, especially if you like Star Trek.

OK, I had to bump something just to get that spam post off of top position.
Movies I've seen lately-
Public Enemies- It was all right. A little disappointing seeing how geeked up I get for Michael Mann movies. Still def. better than your typical summer action movie.
Moon- Neat little sci-fi movie starring Sam Rockwell. Very orginal, interesting movie. If this comes to theatre near you, check it out.
Bruno- Wow. This movie is something else. Pushes the limits of what's allowed in an R rated movie. Not nearly as good as Borat, but it still has a ton of laffs in it.
Now for the rentals. I just got netflix, so I've been flying through movies like nobodies business.
Inside- French horror movie. Very, very good. If you are into horror, you need to see this. But be warned: this is not for the faint of heart. Very graphic.
Straw Dogs. 1971 movie starring Dustin Hoffman. Tells the story of an American couple that movie to rural England to escape the violence in America, only to run into a level of violence there that they couldnt imagine. Solid movie.
