Hey, Jae Crowder is a UFA. Could fil a James Posey role. I feel like that could be a bad chemistry move, but on the other hand if we offered him the most money that could solve the chemistry issue real quick.

If we do something with the Knicks I assume there'd have to be a lot of picks coming our way and I'd require them to be mostly unprotected. I don't think the Knicks would send us a Nets type package for Hayward, but the Knicks don't have a history of great decisions

Gasol, Baynes, Favors and Milsap could be wily veteran bigs who contribute just enough.

I'm seeing the Hawks were/are interested in GH. I like that roster.

Here you go (regarding Kanter):

So we’ve lost Poirier and now Kanter. Seems like we’re anticipating getting a big man.

Here you go (regarding Kanter): Under normal circumstances that sounds terrible. So at this point I am a little more encouraged something's going down

It’s to clear more cap space.
A writer for DET is saying Ainge is angling for a play for Christian Wood.
Ok, let’s play out this scenario. Maybe we don’t get back Myles Turner, but someone else like TJ Warren + TPE, and we then Sign and Trade for Wood? Cause it wouldn’t make sense to bring in both Turner and Wood.

Or is it possible to think of a Myles Turner / Christian Wood frontcourt?

As a poster on another board mentioned, our main guys (Kemba+Tatum+Jaylen+Smart) played with Myles Turner on the Olympic team. They know how he plays and what he can do.
I’m sure they’d tell Danny if they thought he stunk.

The Pistons are a very poorly managed organization. They didn’t trade Christian Wood athe trsde deadline, and now they’re losing him cor nothing. They instead just signed Miles Plumlee and Jahlil Okafor, which uses up their available salary.
Question is, where is Wood ending up?

I’m getting tired of Hayward’s waiting game. Took forever to decide on us in 2017, and now he’s holding up the process again.
Might not he his fault (could be that Ainge is playing hardball).

I don't think he wants to go to the Hawks or Knicks unless there's a very good contract attached. But if that's the case he just sign with us again. So I think it's Indy he wants. I'm just guessing there's some back and forth there, and the other thing is while the back and forth is waiting he and his agent are doing back and forth with Atlanta and NYC. Everyone's trying to use their leverage. Seems Indy has lowballed us to start, and maybe Ainge highballed them.

Ok. I admit Christian Wood has some pretty good stats for a big. I wonder if Ainge has to be specific and careful about how he does this. I don't think he really has the money to sign Wood to anything other than the MLE. Maybe they could sign him for 7 mill and he could bring him in using the MLE and the trade exemption he has.
