I read we’re still interested in Capela. And we may be open to trading Hayward (Houston and Toronto are suitors). I didn’t expect to hear that, and quite frankly I personally would only trade Hayward if we get a no brainer offer and it’s a good landing spot for Hayward. I don't see any feasible way to get capela unless we moved Smart, and that would cause a locker room mutiny. i thought all those capela rumors were shot down? is it a legit source? Smart is that loved? Could we just sign Jaylen to a large contract now to make a sign and trade work, or does that push us over the cap in a way we can't do it? But I agree, because the only salaries that fit are Smart or Hayward. Or we could send Kemba but not till December. None of those seem too easy to do

Smart is the guy who needs to go, they will be better without him.

FYI..Avery is heading to the Fakers on a two year deal. He is beyond done anyway so it is no gain for them or loss for us.

I never really liked Bradley mainly due to how much fans talked about him as if he was an all-star, but now I have a reason to dislike him. Add another injury-prone player to LA, they're really trying to stack as much risk as possible.

I never thought he was an all-star, but I'll say this: I've never seen anyone get in an opponent's shirt like Avery did.

Even with my comment about not being an allstar, it's a hell of a signing for them. He's only 28! Granted, he's guaranteed to get injured - must be how he plays cause he's pretty consistent in that regard.

I think Avery had a year or two that were borderline all starish, but that was a long time ago

I honestly did not care for Bradley’s game. He had one offensive move that he was comfortable doing (curl, pullup jumper, one step in from the 3pt line). Defense was good though.

Westbrick gets traded to the Rockets for CPKnee and draft picks. So now Paul can try to go 4-4 in destroying locker rooms while blaming everyone but himself. www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/27171170/okc-trades-russ-rockets-paulNow that they are blowing it up, I am pretty sure we can get Adams and Schroder for Smart and picks which would give us the big guy we need and a good backup PG.

It's amazing to think that the Thunder had KD, Harden and Westbrook and have nothing to show for it except a boatload of draft picks (which will most likely be late first rounders).

I'm not even sure what went wrong first. Clearly not resigning Harden was the wrong choice, but it seemed like he was ready to be a star on a team and I'm not sure the Thunder had room with Russ + KD already being in those roles. It didn't help they were young and most likely not the most sacrificial for the team.
My question is: what happens to Chris Paul? I can't imagine him not causing a ruckus to get moved again.

Just read an article that OKC plans on keeping him because they would have to give away some of the many draft picks to entice anyone to take that terrible 3 year 124M contract that he has.

Did the Rockets get better with that trade, though? They might've gotten better from a chemistry point of view, but I still think they're limited if Westbrook continues to shoot the way he has. He's been under 30% for 3s in 4 out of the last 5 years. He's shot under 40% overall in the last 3 playoffs. It almost seems like he's gotten worse at shooting. And it's not like he doesn't shoot enough...
I'm rooting for them cause I liked them in OKC, but it doesn't seem like a natural fit considering their previous issues with ISO ball and the playoffs.

Not sure how the rockets will operate with both Harden/Westbrook taking 20+ shots a game and require the ball to be glue to their hands. This trade could easily blow up in their face while giving OKC a lot of value for their draft picks. Now if they can find a taker for CP3 (Miami?) without giving up assets would be ideal otherwise they'll just have to ride that cap hold for 3 years before they can sign a star player.
