Just get it done already! I can't believe all of this time is being wasted over a injury that's already known and documented to get access to a low asset that are basically trade filler. Good start for that GM in Ohio lol.

Maybe a second rounder. Not a first. Cavs are getting greedy. I'd also be ok with Danny telling them to pound sand. If it's between a late first or an early second, it might be more beneficial for us to keep the 2nd rounder for economic reasons. It costs less, and less guaranteed money.

Never thought of it that way, but I think I'd still prefer the higher pick. Better chance of lucking into a good player.

I am kind of surprised the deal has dragged out this long, however I think CLE is deploying a strategy to see if another team trumps the offer. Frankly, I do not why PHX or MIL would trump the offer, because Irving will not with either team in 2-years.

And the longer it takes, it only makes CLE look more foolish. If they don't receive any other compensation (another draft pick or player), it'll be embarrassing for them -- all that wasted time, trying to squeeze out another asset from Danny, only to come out empty handed.

Unbelievable. I really would have liked the transcript between Danny, and CLE which resulted in only a second round selection loss.

Miami's 2020 second round pick. They should be a middle of the pack team by then, riding on the rugged shoulders of Kelly Olynyk.
I'm ok with that too.

Must be worth losing your credibility over a 2nd round pick lol. I'm glad there is final closure on this trade. Definitely looking forward to see what Kyrie can do not being behind Lebron's shadow.

Good to see it's just a 2nd rounder. Deal done! The C's would have had to give a few picks away anyway. Too many to keep them all.

Reports indicate Dan Gilbert, CLE owner, was behind the Irving trade (and hold). Griffin walks, and Billups does not take the job. I am assuming the CLE GM post was an understudy to Gilbert.

I wonder how Hayward and Horford feel about IT no longer being a Celtic? I mean, wasn't he one of the reasons why they chose to sign with us as free agency? IT was our top "verbal" recruiter.

In the introductory press conference today, Hayward told the story that a few years ago when he was a restricted free agent, Irving tried to recruit him to go to Cleveland. Then James announced he was going back to the Cavs and that was the end of the courtship of Hayward. Interesting that they have a history together, and kind of a good thing I think.

Yeah, that is good to hear. Good to know that Kyrie previously tried recruiting Hayward to CLE. He must like Hayward's game, and thought he could play well with the team.

In an interview with Celtics.com, Hayward said that he was looking forward to playing with IT, but he is also very excited to play with Kyrie and he feels they can push each other to be their very best.
