Wow! 7 players and a first round pick plus money. That's some haul for Chris Paul.
I guess that leaves Houston out of the PG13 sweepstakes. They were said to be one team interested in him. Their cupboard is bare of assets now it would seem.
Although, Stephen A Smith said that if Carmelo Anthony is bought out, they may look to sign him.

Now I'm reading that Houston acquired several expiring contracts to include in the trade for CP3 so that the Clippers can just waive them to create cap space.
And there is this: Chris Paul reduced his trade bonus from $3.6m to $661k to make the trade work. Cap hit for Houston in 17-18 is $24.6m.

What are the Clippers going to do with all those spare parts? Only legit contributors are Beverly (but he's somewhat limited), Lou Williams (doesn't play defense) and Montrezl Harrell.
Clippers are looking like they're entering a rebuild -- wonder how long before Doc bolts out of LA?

Hope Hayward and George are willing to take a lesser amount too.

Reading that CP3 opted in and then demanded a trade because he despises Doc. Now CP will be a free agent next season and that gives him one year to evaluate playing with Harden and also to be able to leave Houston and go play with LeBron next year if they can make it happen. Doc leaves Boston because he doesn't want to rebuild and becomes GM/Coach in LA of a team that has a couple of stars. LA goes nowhere with Doc at the helm. Celtics go to the Eastern Conference Finals Clippers are rebuilding

Source: Brad Wanamaker has put all Euroleague offers on hold with hopes of scoring an NBA deal with the Pelicans or Celtics.
Wanamaker played with Zizic on Darussafaka last season. He's a 6-4 guard that led team in scoring with 16.7 ppg. Played at Pitt in college

Melo for Crawford and Rivers seems like a good deal if you're going all in. I'm not shocked that Chris Paul is appalled at Doc's decision there. I always thought it was weird that Austin looked like a bust/scrub and then Doc trades for him and continues to play him big minutes. His averages don't stick out to me and imagine a Chris Paul, JJ Redick, Melo, Griffin, and Jordan starting lineup.

I'm not sure I believe that rumor. Although if CP3 doesn't refute it soon, maybe I will

Well, I guess Baby wasn't making things up when he was publicly attacking Austin for favoritism.

He might very well be the best piece returned. He averaged 6 points 3 rebounds per 18 minutes. Extrapolating to his per 60 gives you roughly 18 ppg and 9 rebounds...I doubt the rebounding numbers but I still think he could be a 15-16 PPG and 5-6 RPG guy in a year or two...then further improves.

Hayward wants George Hill to be re-signed by the Jazz, and that could help in negotiations to keep Gordon in Utah. But the Jazz are interested in Ricky Rubio.
If we see Utah sign Rubio, it could be an indicator that Hayward is leaving them.

I'm reading that Hill or Teague is possibly a target for Minnesota...thats a good team there with Wiggins, Towns and Butler already. Looks like Thibs learnt some roster shaping tricks from Ainge.

I'm hearing Blake G is resigning for the max in LA and that makes me happy on several levels

I'd say the T-Wolves made a smart decision there if they get one of those guys. Get rid of Rubio and now have a nice selection of PG to choose from.
