Yeah, I think that nonchalant attitude is partly, or largely why Ainge decided to pass on Fultz. If you look at the type of guys we target nowadays, it seems we go after "dogs" (as KG would say). Tough attitude guys who fight and scrap.
Ayton seems to have that. Porter seems a bit more docile, but he looks like he can be an incredible SF.

Exactly! Look at the Cavs and Warriors...you need that killer mentality to beat opponents in those late playoff stages. Lebron has it...and it carries over to Kyrie. GSW...they all have it..from Green to Curry. You need to want to beat them then stomp on them whilst they're down and run up the score to break them in future games

Jeff Green would be the poster child of what we DON'T want to see in our players.

Just a few thoughts about the draft. It seems to me that the one and done trend for college players is really watering down both college and Pro games. College gets players for just one year and then it's a whole new crop. It seems that they would be much better with players having to stay longer before bolting to the pros.
And with so many prospects bolting after just one season, NBA teams are getting players who could mostly could use a year or two more of seasoning to their games. And with more than one year to evaluate them, teams would be more certain of players strengths and weaknesses.
It seems that allowing players to bolt for the NBA after just one year waters down basketball on both levels.

One scenario has Butler going to Cleveland and Celtics picks and a prospect going to Chicago and Love coming to Boston.

One scenario has Butler going to Cleveland and Celtics picks and a prospect going to Chicago and Love coming to Boston. Not a huge fan of Love. I also don't know why we would help Cleveland ensure themselves at least another Eastern Conference Championship. I would assume Wade would follow to Cleveland in that scenario too as he has said that he is gone if Butler leaves.

I personally I would rather not help Cavs in any trade scenario that help improve their team. Let the team implode with Lebron going to LA for his next mercenary job.
By the way, if the price stay legitimate low I would trade 3rd + future pick + salaries to get JB on this roster. We only have around 7 first round picks in the next 3 years.

Yeah, I don't want to help CLE at all.
They want to get Jimmy, and I think it's a smart move. He gets to play with Lebron this year and they'll try to win a title together. Win or lose, Lebron leaves for the Clippers next summer, and CLE now has Jimmy to take Lebron's place.

In the middle of working the phones trying to put a trade together to being in either PG or Butler, Cleveland fired their GM David Griffin because they "couldn't agree on the future." Reports are that Chauncey Billips is the lead candidate to replace him. Curiouser and curiouser.

Am curious to find out more what the internal disagreements are. Seems like CLE is imploding.

LeBron is "disappointed" & "concerned" by Griffin's departure, per @howardbeck.
This is fueling the rumors that LeBron is going to bolt from Cleveland at after this season - possibly to the Lakers or Clippers. Along with the fact that LeBron's wife has publicly stated that she wants to live full time in LA.
Interesting point: Billips is the lead candidate for Cavs GM and earlier as a commentator he was pushing the idea of the Cavs trading love for Carmelo Anthony.

With them hiring the great Jerry West, and with Lebron's good friend Chris Paul already there, I think that's where Bron is going to take his game. Will add to his legacy if he can win the Clippers their very first title. I'd prefer he go there, rather than help the Lakers equal our championship titles.

It also accelerates our path to the Finals if LBJ goes West.

It will be interesting to see if Chris Paul stays with the Clippers or bolts this offseason. He is a free agent and has said he is considering other teams.
If he stays with the Clippers you might be right that Bron may consider the Clippers.
