You'll be hard-pressed to find any player, that doesn't get hurt, at some point in their career.

Al just needs to tape his ankles realy good before every game, that seems to be his weak point for now.

I think all players get their ankles taped by the trainers. I was watching Real Training Camp on NBAtv and you constantly see players sitting on the trainers table getting their feet taped. Not just us, but most of the teams they've shown. You just have to--I mean in basketball, spraining ankles is just so prevalent that you need to be cautious and take preventative measures.
He's been getting a lot of treatments and massages on his left foot, but he's still having a hard time running. But he's on the exercise bike and he's running in the pool, so his conditioning is still good. He better make up for lost time in a hurry.

If he is in the pool, that is good. Pool workouts are very intense. You wouldn't think they would be, but they are.

There's a difference between a player that misses a game here and there and a player who is fragile. If he doesn't play at least 70 games this year he might start to get a fragile reputation and I hate that. DWest is apparently in a similar boat with Doc. I am also starting to miss TA. I admit I watched a good 15 mins last nite and didn't think Gomes or Reed played that well. In fact I didn't think anyone did. It's like when they play the Bulls they all drink a gallon of NBA kryptonite before the game. Who would have thought I'd get 3 karma while criticising Al J?

Injuries are part of the game. You can't expect a player to remain healthy for his entire career. Sometimes, guys you expect to be frail and constantly injury proned turn out to be extrememly durable throughout their careers (Reggie Miller). And then you have guys who look strong bodied, and they end up having an injury riddled career (Larry Johnson).
Lets just hope that both Delonte and Jefferson have let their injury bug run its course and for the rest of their careers, they won't encounter many setbacks.

Al just needs to tape his ankles realy good before every game, that seems to be his weak point for now. i always thought he didn't tape his ankles when i saw pictures of him in action: from the 10/22/2005 Boston Herald Indeed, both of Jefferson's ankle sprains - the first as a rookie and the second on the second day of training camp this month - came as a result of the power forward not taping his ankles. ``I guess they just don't wear tape in Mississippi or something,'' cracked Doc Rivers.

I'll guarantee you that Prentiss HS---Al's alma mater---had a real bare-bones budget. They may NOT have had tape.
At least for basketball players.

Not really. The girls' team was able to acquire its own: by borrowing from one of the local youth groups.
