Rondo had the same doctor as Adrian Peterson so if all holds true he should have a huge mvp season next year.
I still think there is a possibility everyone comes back.

There is a possibility of everyone coming back. And with everyone healthy, we should be able to a good season. But still, to get past the Heat and the Thunder, it'll be a tough uphill battle keeping up with their youth, speed, and power.
2 things that'll happen if we keep everything together:
1) it'll just delay the inevitable -- the eventual departure of KG and PP.
2) it'll keep us from grabbing a high pick in what could be a strong draft like 2003

If the right trades are available, I want us to blow it up and move KG, PP, RR, and JET (if anyone will take him). If this is not possible, I'd rather we keep the gang together and get the best big man we can get with the MLE. I want to either do a full rebuild or go for another run. One extreme or the other.

The thing is delaying the rebuild until next summer will cause us to miss out on a draft that could net us a really good player who has superstar potential -- and even if we don't get the #1 overall pick, the next few players have star potential too.
If we miss the 2014 draft, and try rebuild after that, it could be too late.
Honestly, we've had a good run with KG and Pierce. These past 6 years have been very good for Celtics fans. But its time. Its time to let go and start anew.

The 2014 is the perfect time to start a rebuild. That's why I'd like to see us do a complete rebuild this offseason. but if KG and PP retire, I don't want to see us add a couple of patchwork vets around Rondo. If we're going to do that, we may as well hope the vets return and give us one more season of seeing them on the court together.

Pierce is still a fringe all-star. However, most teams only want to pay .75 of a 1.00 for him.

2014 may or may not be the big one. it all depends on whether wiggins and parker are one and dones.

I'm nearly certain they are one and done. If they as good as advertised, they'll have little to prove. The only way they stay beyond their freshmen year is if they want to be college champs and they don't win it all their first year.

He's a high character kid, so it wouldn't be a shock if he does. Still, I feel he'll make the jump.

Anoyher reason why I think its time to move on is be ause the young guys who are the future of the team neee to learn to play without the heart and soul (KG) and the captain (PP).
I want to let Rondo, Jeff Green, Sully, and Bradley forgemtheir own identity, and learn to feed off of one another.

That Julius Randle could be a beast as well. If all three of them come out early, look out.

Julius Randle has some potential in him. He's not as versatile as Jabari Walker, and I don't like to see him being cute with his dribbling. But he's a nasty player (mean streak), who is a bit undersized without long arms.

It's been almost a decade since this thread was used but here we go. I wonder if the Celtics should trade for Andre Drummond. He's still younger than 30. He went to UConn. He gives us size. He only has a year and a half left on his contract and it's pretty cheap. He can't shoot, but we don't need him to imho. We just need him to play hard defense for like 12 to 15 minutes a night. I think he could be an upgrade over Kornet or Blake Griffin.
We just do not have some of the size we need under the basket. We really only have 4 quality bigs, forcing Jaylen to slide down. And some of those bigs aren't all that big. Furthermore I have to assume Grant Williams is out of here after this year and how long can Al Horford keep doing this? We need some help at that spot and apparently it's not Danilo G any time soon.
