Yes, even without Pierce that still looks great to have. This team is truly more exciting without Pierce and Walker despite what some may say. The flashes I saw with the young guys. I wanted more of them.

Yep. ;D
I like keeping Ricky and Reaf, for some reason.

Well Raef doesn't complain anyways. You gotta give that to him.

Neither has really played well vs NBA competition. The summer league is a nice showing but the regular NBA guys are tougher.

Neither has really played well vs NBA competition. The summer league is a nice showing but the regular NBA guys are tougher. This is where your GM skills and player projectability come into play. Its like you have 1 draft slot left and you have to decide either to take Ryan Gomes, or Justin Reed--who'd you take?

To answer Derren's qu of d vs o you have to realize he's trying to trick you all. It's a chicken egg question. You need both. You need balance. You need rebounds and mistake free turnover free bball. It's like saying "who's better. A PG with lots of assists or no TOs" Its a math/quantity question. You need more variables. Right now I'd say the Cs need best players available defined by how hard they work, attitude, willingness to pass, ability to move without a ball, rebound, potential, coachability, reasonable contract, and (veteran type) leadership. By those definitions the worst player on the team is Blonut followed by maybe Raef or unfortunately PP. The youth movement must continue without going nuts which is why it's imperative to develop people like Perkins and Al J and which is why people git excited when D West went off on the team in the summer leagues

The summer league is the best way to develop our guys. Only it doesn't last a while. But it be funny if all our stars came from the summer league for more than 2 years unlike most teams young stars who only go in for one like LeBron.

I don't think they test any one but the borderline players in it. AJ didn't play as much as I would have suspected but they took long looks at Gomes and Cop. I think Ainge was using it to see who is viable to keep. He must have liked what he saw because no huge deals were made yet. Maybe the best deal is the one not made on the kids.

;D, No Eja, I'm not trying to trick anyone into answering my question. Its just a thought that I've been pondering because we can't expect Ainge to hold onto all of our young players. Sooner or later, he's going to move a few of them to get ourselves players who fill certain needs--like if we don't find ourselves our PG or C (in the event that Delonte/Banks/Orien and Perkins don't pan out).
I like Gomes, but I also think Justin can serve a big purpose for us as well. If neither one make the starting lineup (and its hard to imagine them doing so with Pierce on the team, and Tony Allen or Gerald Green primed to take the SG position), then one of them may have to find team to play for.

It was totally the egg. Although I like chicken better. My mother in law has 3 chickens that give her three of the best eggs every day. I bought a 10 piece chicken select meal at MCDs today. It cost frickin $10.70. What happened to the day McDS was cheap?

LOL EJA... You seem like a good egg. Or are you chicken? The jury is out.
Had to, my fake.

Did they give you a golden nugget with those chicken strips, Eja? Dude, you are paying way too much for a McD's meal.
Anyone think Gomes can get more minutes this year, as a rookie, then Justin Reed will as a second year player?
