We've still got a bunch of snow here. It is taking forever for spring to get here. On my long commute to work (I am in the southern region of CT), I sometimes take the alt route through West Hartford, CT. Anyway, the massive snow storm that hit the region this year, they stock piled the extra snow in a parking lot. I can't tell now if the pile is actually snow or just dirt from the roads.

Derren....I was picking out a Christmas tree today and my kid was asking about fake ones.....what do you do in Hawaii? Is it all fake or do you have live trees? Anyone else with this situation? What about you FL? For fresh I assume they grow like weeds in everyone's back yard. How about our Kiwi?

Growing up we always had a fake tree. I wonder what percentage it is across the country when it comes to fake vs. real trees.

A buddy of mine's parents had a Christmas tree farm. It's a tough thing to start because you have to wait several years before you start making any income. But once you're a few years in i think it's a decent racket.

The last several days here have been very cold. A couple of mornings ago there was some of the biggest sun dogs I have ever seen. If I wasn't a lazy oaf I would've taken a picture, but I'm not even sure if a picture of them would turn out at all.

Eja, we have real trees here too. We import as well as grow our own.
Growing up we had a fake tree because my dad didn't like the mess real trees make. But as we got older, my sister insisted on real trees.
I'm wondering what I ought to do this year. This will be my son's first Christmas, but he'll never remember it. Plus, we'll be returning from Japan on Christmas Eve, so we won't be here for most of the Christmas season.

Nope, not me. I've never gotten into college football, even if it involves our university.

BTW, just got back from a 10 day trip to Japan, and for the first time ever got to see snow and touch it.
