im from the tatooine.....it is an extremely hot desert planet, and some would say that in certain areas (like mos eisley), "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy." Let me guess.. Your mom raised you alone, you competed in races, some old dude comes and takes you away because you have increased levels of weird things within you, you end up falling for the extremely sexy Natalie Portman and R2-D2 films your nightly romps with her?

I am from Spain, lived in some countries like France and England. Now I am living in Poland since August 2008. I always watched basketball in my country. First Real Madrid games, which I've always watched with my father and my brother. Then there came the 1984 Olympics when half the country became basketball maniac after getting the Silver Medal (losing to the US). I was only 7 years old and the basketball "virus" was already installed in my cells Then came the NBA in 1986, the first games on TV and that Celtics-Hawks in which I noticed a certain Larry Bird and that magical and mythical Boston Garden and the stories of ghosts in the arena I became fan right away. We got some images and games of that championship years, but it was tough for a young kid to stay until 3 or 4 am watching the weekly NBA game on friday tv (my parents let me from time to time only) As everybody knows, Spain is a very pleasant country to live. People are gentle, we have very nice weather and the food is delicious. We happen to have one of the best international squads right now too And in Poland basketball is not a major sport. In fact, it is hard to get NBA info on tv unless you have a major cable channel. All the news are coming through the Orlando Magic and the play of Marcin Gortat, the Polish representative in the NBA. Poland is a country full of history, with awesome landscapes and delightful food.

ACF....what's it like in Copenhagen these days during the climate summit? See anyone interesting like Kim Jong Il or Putin? It's been very quiet actually, in the sense that even though there have been a lot of arrests, most of the climate activists have been behaving like they should. Rallying but not setting the streets on fire. I have not seen any interesting persons (at least not famous, anyway) except on tv. Other than that, it's very cold here now. We may actually get ourselves a white Xmas, which only happens every 14 years (on average). It happened in ´81 and in '95.

You found something? Yes, my lord. That is the system, and I am sure Skywalker is w/ them. Set your course for the Hoth system. General Veers, prepare your men.

It does that here a lot. We go from having AC to heat and back again all the time in the winter.

I'm from Florence, Tuscany in the middle of Italy. I've always lived here but I've been travelling/working all over Europe. Florence is a very ancient town, it was founded in 59 b.C. by the Romans and it was the city where the "renaissance" started. Leonardo da Vinci, Dante and many others were born here and a lot of big poets/artists studied here (like Michelangelo, Botticelli...). (I'm sorry for the advertising next to the video but I don't know how to take it out) It's a small city, our economy is founded on tourism. People from all over the world comes here (Japanese are all over the places ) and there are a lot of american students too that comes here for their studies/masters. During week ends the city center looks like a melting pot... The most important sport in Florence (also in Italy and Europe) is soccer. I'm a season ticket holder of Fiorentina (Florence soccer team). but I've always played basketball since I was 6. Now I stopped playing but I'm a coach, this one it's the 8th year I'm coaching. I've been studying English since I was 7 and for 10 years, once a day, 5 days a week I went to an English and an American lady's appartement to study english. Plus I went to a linguistic High School where I've been studying English, French and German (unfortunately I don't remember german anymore ). How I started following the Celtics is quite unsual. My love for the Celtics started with NBA 2k4, I always choose them beacuse of PP and because they were not that strong and it was much more exciting to win with Vin Baker in my team rather then Tim Duncan . Then I started to watch live games and the oldest games, I started to read books of Red and Bill... I've been three times in Boston: - the firt time was summer '09, I started my trip in the U.S. from Boston, then I moved to NY, Philly, Washington, Niagara Falls, Toronto, Montreal and after a month I came back to Boston. When I was there I decided to go to the Garden and do the "summer tour" of the building. They took us everywhere, I was almost crying for the emotion... - the last time I was in Boston was last june. I organized the travel in less than a week, after the victory in game 6 against the Magic. I was there for game 3 and 4, it was really amazing, the best place I've ever been in my whole life . I've been to Springfield too at the Basketball Hall of Fame. Boston is one of my favourite places in the world, and I've got one of my best friends from the High School who is studying at Umass. I really love the people from Boston, they are very kind and everytime I go there they make me fell like home. May be I've been writing too much

Nah you didn't write too much. That sounds really interesting.
Especially how you came to like Boston. Unusual way but plenty of people like to support the underdogs when they're down because the satisfaction in supporting them when they finally reach a championship is just that much more satisfying knowing you stuck with them through thick and thin.
Your story of how you supported PP when the Celtics were bad reminded me of how I started supporting the Boston Red Sox because they just could not win it at all. They hadn't won a World Series in like over 80 years until those few days in 2004 where they finally broke the curse. Best days of my life in 2004 watching them finally get past that huge Yankee hurdle.
