Did you grandson see Toy Story 1 and 2? If not, he should see those too! And did he say Toy Story 3 in 3D? We have the Toy Story 1 and 2 DVD's. These are the second copies of them as he wore the first ones out. He probably has watched those movies hundreds of times each and maybe even more. He has them pretty much memorized. Everywhere you look in the house is a Buzz Lightyear or a Potato Head LOL. Yes, we saw Toy Story 3 in 3D

I rented "aliens" 2-weeks ago. 1986. Been about 25-years since I last saw it. The movie still holds up to today. Though one aspect that I thought was more interesting today, than previously were the camera angles. Aliens is more of everything than Alien, however I believe there was only one Alien costume.

Aliens is my favorite movie of all time. I rented Aliens to watch it in 2-nights, since it was the ext, or director's cut version, which is 2 1/2 hours long. I watched the entire movie the first night. Since hollywood video closed near my location, I had to find another video store. I found this store called, Best Video. 2-nights, $4.00/movie. However, their specialty is older movies. So, I have been renting alot of older movies. Ex: the Running Man, Aliens, etc.

We used to have a Blockbuster and 2 other movie rental stores near here and all of them have closed down. I guess the netflix and on demand services has cut into their businesses alot. So, pretty much if we want to watch a video we have to do it on demand pay per view through the cable company or DTV. Sad, cause we always rented a bunch of movies for the kids on New Year's Eve and now that won't be possible.

$5+ for 5-nights @blockbuster is my issue w/ this company. @most I watch a movie 2-nights, and they market against this by offering a sidebar $3 for 1-night.

Last weekend, I rented 'Clash of the Titans." 2010 release. I thought it was entertaining, though probably would have been a better movie to watch in the movie theaters vs at home.

Haha that's awesome. Always a sign that a movie is a keeper.
I haven't been to many movies lately. I've seen Paranormal Activity 2 and Jackass 3-D. Both delivered. I still need to see The Social Network. The story behind seems boring, but I trust David Fincher. He usually makes very good movies.
If any of you are into documentaries. I just watched a great one called The Way We Get By. It's about a group of senior citizens who meet and greet the troops as the depart for the war overseas. It doesn't sound like much, but it is very powerful.

The Social Network is a decent movie, dont really understand the rave reviews about it, I just thought it decent. One that I've watched recently is an action comedy called Red starring Bruce Willis and I thought that was hilarious.

We don't get out to the movies much but Red is one I want to watch when it comes to on demand. I'm going to have to take my daughter to Harry Potter on the 19th when it comes out, though.
Just got Toy Story 3 and Cars: Mater's Tall Tales for my grandson. Both are very cute and he watches them over and over and over. Word is Cars 2 will be out in 2011.

If you like cute movies for your grandkids, try Despicable Me and How to train your Dragon.
Weird stat of the day. My fiancee told me that in America, 20% of the total bandwidth used by Americans is used on netflix. Pretty mind blowing considering 20% is probably 50 times more than the total used by the entire New Zealand and thats on a movie site alone.
