any one seen thirst korean movie scary flick I dig a good horror movie, so I'll have to check it out. I dunno if I've mentioned this before, but if you're in the mood for horror, Eden Lake and Inside are both very, very good. They are both very rough, so I would def. put the little ones to bed before watching.

Rented "gamer" this weekend. I thought it was a good movie. Kind of like a modern day version of the "running man."

Hey can someone tell me if Hurt Locker has come out in the US yet? I am so confused because over here I read reports that it is on the Oscar nomination ballot and yet I go to a video shop and they tell me they don't have it. Its a late 2008 movie if I'm not wrong but either way, it has to be out if its already being nominated for an Oscar..and yet I dont understand why its not in the cinemas or rental shops here.

I saw Hurt Locker several months ago in the theatre. It wasn't there very long. But now that it is getting a lot of award season buzz, it is popping up in the theatres again. My guess is it's on video by now, but i dont know for sure.

Just checked my netflix; it's available for rent.
It was a very good movie, but i think it's a sign of how poor of year 2009 was movie-wise that Hurt Locker is being considered for best picture.

I should've said that 2009 was a bad year for award-worthy movies. 2009 had a ton of fun movies (paranormal activity, zombieland, the hangover, etc). But when it comes to big time artsy-fartsy movies, 2009 been lacking so far (but to be fair, there are still several I havent seen yet).

Finally got to watch The Informant. Its a better than average movie but definitely not one of the highlights of 2009. Matt Damon acts very convincingly as a bumbling executive but the storyline itself is not exactly mind blowing considering its based on a true story.

I saw 'The Road' this past Friday. What a great movie. I was still thinking about it when I woke up the next day. I can highly recommend it.

Finished Benjamin Button this weekend.
My wife and I immediately turned to each other and said "Top ten film of all time? Yep."

Watched an animated movie called 9 today. Frankly, I am quite confused about the story's premise. However, looking up IMDB, I find other users claiming it to be deeper if watched a few more times. That said, the animation isn't exactly groundbreaking...
