Not like Danny to cave in so soon... You do have my first round covered Runner, BTW. Ukic is my first pick. Let's see the players that slip.

Derren, how is the scoring going to work for the draft challenge? I was thinking, to make things simple... 1pt for each "correct" slot (#) in the draft.
Ex: if for the #1 pick you select Bogut, and he is picked at the #1 slot, you get 1 point.

Hey, I didn't think of that. Alright, lets make a point system for the draft.
1 point for each correct pick 2 points for getting our pick correct
Any other idea(s) for the point system?

Hey, I didn't think of that. Alright, lets make a point system for the draft. 1 point for each correct pick 2 points for getting our pick correct Any other idea(s) for the point system? u ever think of just doing it on yahoo or espn? we could of all like joined a league and submitted our picks and it would of kept track of points for us... just an idea.

Derren, great idea. I am thinking that our pick should be worth, say 5pts...kind of like the NCAA tournament where the Final 4 is worth more.

We participated in the Yahoo Fantasy league this season, and it was interesting.
But to keep it simple, we'll just go with our own point system.
Alright, we'll make it 1 point for every correct pick and 5 points for getting the Celtics' pick right. 10 pts for predicting a trade.
correct pick = 1 pt correct Celtics pick = 5 pts predicting a correct trade with the teams involved = 10 pts **for the prediction, only list the teams involved**
I will be locking the mock draft on Monday night, so if anyone wants to make adjustments to their mocks, do so before then.

I don't want Bogut because I think he is a 'head-case/me player' waiting to happen. Other than that, I would like moving into the 2-4 slot, if the deal were right. Depends on the player(s) moved and the long-term draft cost. Do we give up a draft pick in a more 'star-filled' draft, to move up?

I don't think Marvin william's hype or game warrants the #2 position in the draft. i'm not sure he's worth a really high pick at all. A freshmen that dominated college ball was Carmelo. He went 3rd after darko. Williams isn't like that don't think. steph Marbury and shareef were the first freshmen drafted I can remember and they also dominated. Today they would have gone out of high school and probably would have been equally bad or worse

Wow, you actually listed a second round mock too, Eja. Impressive.
No, Marvin Williams is not going to reach Carmelo's caliber as a player. But this draft isn't an impactful draft like the one in '03 (Lebron, Carmelo, Bosh, Wade, Hinrich, etc.) Had Carmelo been available in this draft, he'd most likely go ahead of Marvin Williams (though maybe not in front of Bogut).
If Marvin Williams came out in '03, he would have been picked somewhere between 5 - 10.

Derren, I am thinking if you predict a trade, and it is correct, it should be alotted 3 points. 5 points should be reserved as the highest for our draft pick; 1 point for every correct draft slot; and 3 points for every correct trade. No point reducted for an incorrect trade. Perhaps the trade category should be limited to '3' guess trades?

Alright, that'll work. How about we don't put a limit on the trade predictions, but we minus 2 points if you get more than 3 wrong (so that people won't list every single trade rumor they here about). 3 wrong predictions = - 2 point. 6 wrong predictions = - 4 points, etc. How's that sound, RR?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 pt for every correct player taken
3 pts for every correct trade prediction
5 pts for the correct player taken by the Celtics
- 2 points for every 3 wrong trade predictions
