Yeah, I do too. But given the fact that Garcia is a versatile wing player who can be a ball handling 2guard, he could give us more value than Simien. I can easily imagine a backcourt of Delonte and Sisco--2 excellent shooters from deep who can handle the ball and and make passes. That's a versatile backcourt--Delonte as a 6'3" PG and Sisco as a 6'7" SG. Not really an extremely athletic backcourt, but we'll be playing a team game on offense and defense, so they won't need to be freak athletes.

Not quite that long. The draft is on June 28th. But who knows--maybe by then, Ainge will have orchestrated a move to move up or down in the draft.

the more i think about it the more i'm sure that we'll get a decent player. just look at 20 players that probably will be the top 20 draft choices (in no particular order):
andrew bogut, marvin williams, chris paul, deron williams, gerald green, raymond felton, tiago splitter, fran vasquez, danny granger, antoine wright, martell webster, joey graham, charlie villanueva, jarrett jack, ike diogu, johan petro, hakim warrick, sean may, wayne simien, francisco garcia
considering we where we pick (18) - all those above-mentioned players are worth that pick. so although it's always exciting and sometimes nerve-wrecking to live in the pre-draft time of the year, then this year i'm pretty relaxed. and in ainge i trust the draft time even more. ;D

Of those guys, the only one I would question is Hakim Warrick. But yes, there are a lot more than 18 guys in the draft who are good players who may end up at doorstep.
You also forgot to add Chris Taft and Channing Frye to your list. Both of those guys are being tabbed as likely lottery picks. Also Nemanja.

i left taft and frye out intentionally. however if thay are lottery picks that only gives us beeter chance to draft better player. i'm all for it. ;D

Yeah, that's what I meant. Taft and Frye are being targeted before the 18th, so they will most likely push someone down to us. Also, Nemanja could also be taken earlier, or he could end up at 18.

1) Milwaukee: Andrew Bogut 2) Atlanta: Chris Paul 3) Portland: Marvin Williams 4) New Orleans: Derron Williams 5) Charlotte: Gerrald Green 6) Utah: Raymond Felton 7) Toronto: Antoine Wright 8) New York: Channing Frye 9) Golden State: Fran Vazquez 10) Los Angeles Fakers: Jarret Jack 11) Orlando: Johan Petro 12) Los Angeles Clippers: Danny Granger 13) Charlotte: Hakim Warrick 14) Minnesota: Rudy Fernandez 15) New Jersey: Ike Diogo 16) Toronto: Joey Graham 17) Indiana: Monta Ellis 18) Boston: Chris Taft 19) Memphis: Sean May 20) Denver: Martell Webster 21) Phoenix: CJ Miles 22) Denver: Wayne Simien 23) Sacramento: Andray Blatche 24) Houston: Yaroslav Korolev 25) Seattle: Andrew Bynum 26) Detroit: Francisco Garcia 27) Utah: Rashad McCants 28) San Antonio: Roko Ukic 29) Miami: Ersan Ilyasova 30) Knicks: Randolph Morris
Notice where I have the Knicks messing things up in a very Knickian way. I only feel uncomfortable that this Russian Yuroslav supposedly has a promise above 18 and I have him going like 24. I just don't really see who'd take him. I did it all wrong cause I used logic.

Thanks Meltin and E-Mac. So you guys think we end up with either Ukic or Villanueva?
