Hey there, Esco33. Welcome to the site, and thanks for posting your mock draft. You have McCants going to Toronto with the 16th pick. You don't think they're already sour on SG's with some negative attitudes after their experience with Vince Carter? who cares of toronto ;D and esco, welcome to the board, that was a gutsy entry!

I just think that whoever drafts Mccants will look to transfer him into a point guard (ala Gilbert Arenas, Dwayne Wade last year). If they can do that then they can get rid of Alston. As far as character issues, I think that Toronto thinks he can't be as bad character wise as Alston.

I think teams will look at Mccants to play point guard (ala Gilbert Arenas, Dwayne Wade last year). If the Raps were to pick him they could get rid of Alston. As far as character issues, if they do pick him, they probably feel he can't be as bad as Alston.

I don't envision any team drafting McCants with the intention of making him a PG. His dribbling is on par as far as SG's are concerned, but not anywhere near the level it takes to be a PG in the NBA. I actually like McCant's amazing scoring ability. He struggled with his shot the final 2 games of the season, but for most of the year, his jumper was solid. Plus, he's a good finisher with either hand, and he's an elusive athlete. Hard to contain him. He's a creative scorer, ad libbing his way to the hoop a lot. He's strong for a SG, but he's also on the shorter side. His biggest knock is his head. He reminds me of Mike Tyson sometimes. Their brain just ain't wired all that well. I can see McCants biting off someone's ear in a heated game.

I'll give my Celtics picks when when we know them for sure. Might be a trade for a higher pick. I don't give a crap about the other teams at this point. I only want to be GM of the C's.

Yeah, truth be told, I only gave it a haphazard effort. I'm not interested in guessing which player every team in front of us will take. I just want to predict who we'll take. The last 2 years were fun because we had multiple 1st rounders to predict. This year, its just one.

Until DA trades up.... Are you getting the feeling that Ainge is going to try to move up in the draft? I don't know who he's targeting. Aside from Bogut and Felton, there aren't many players who I'm dying to get. The guys who I'd like to get (such as Garcia, Simien, Villanueva) are projected in the mid first round. Martell Webster is a good looking high schooler, but I'm not dying to move up to get him.

Maybe 50 and /or 53, plus dumping a contract, for 20 - 25.

I'm not really familiar with the posters from other boards, but I do remember his name. I pray that his family finds comfort in the Lord. In many ways, they should rejoice now and not mourn because C-Bill is now going on to the real part of his existence. We must all remember that life is short and its just a small portion of our total existence. Our souls go on for eternity. Not to make this a religious post, but just a reminder to that there is more to our existence than just this life.
