Right now, I like Charlie V, Granger, and Graham in that order when we pick. Though, if May is available we can't pass on him. I don't think many people realize, this guy is getting by on talent, and if he got into a serious conditioning program, this guy would be even better. Yes, May isn't getting the love from the media. Maybe because he's not in top playing shape, maybe because he's an undersized 4. But he came up big in the championship games and that shows heart. I'm sure he's in the lottery, though. If Rafael Araujo (whom I still think has a future in the NBA) went in the lottery last year, May should also. May I think will be another Tractor Traylor. Who agrees and disagrees? May is near obese already.

Yea, I knew it. He appears to be that type of player.

Tractor Traylor, a good comparison, but that is a lot of beef. May doesn't appear to be that big. Also, May has a lot more skills than Traylor.

A lot? Traylor was a damn lottery pick in a strong draft lol. A draft where Bibby, Jamison, VC, Dirk and Pierce came out of.

Traylor may have been a lotto pick in a deep draft, but May was the Final 4 MVP on the NCAA Championship team, which has the potential to have 5 NBA picks, including 4 first rounders.

It still doesn't matter. I don't see May doing much.

I'm doing a top 6
1 Euros that average like 5 points a game, have no defense, reek of Darko, have impossible to spell names like Tskitishvili, are 18, are 7 feet tall and weigh 190 lbs. That would be Nemanja
2 people with possible attitude problems, especially if they are young like Randolph Morris
3 People that seem to play with as much urgency as Mark Blount (Channing Frye? I admit never saw him play)
4 tweeners like Hakkim Warrick (at least he plays hard and has a lot of energy from what I hear)
5 Note. No high school player under 6 foot 6 ever became good (except maybe Sebastian Telfaire) so I'm thinking 6 foot 2 high school guards who think they are MJ are out. Louis Williams? At least till the second round. I don't even think almost any freshmen under 6 foot 5 ever became good. Dejuan Wagner? Steph Marbury? Staaaayyyyy Awaaaaaayyyyy.
6 Players way too overweight like Tractor Traylor and James Lang

Right on, Eja. I was hoping for names in particular you'd avoid. But from what you stated, I guess you consider Nemanja, Frye, Morris, Warrick, Louis Williams, and Monta Ellis to be the players you'd avoid. Aside from the Euro's (who I know little about), I agree with you. Channing Frye is another Battie/Blount type player who I hope we never acquire again. And Morris is just a big body who doesn't really have a skill which will shine in the NBA (sort of like the Collins brothers in the NBA).

I'm actually slightly positive on Monta Ellis. I heard Danny Ainge liked him and I kinda trust him these days after six straight reasonably good draft picks. I think a guy like Delonte can make the transition, and i am hoping Ellis is in that group if he gets drafted by the Cs. It seems like Danny has some general principles when drafting. Talent. Defense. hard worker. NBA type body. Basketball IQ. Good chemistry. And don't worry if he has some minor issue he can work on like the way they said Delonte needed to take care of the ball more before he was drafted. A guy can learn and practice. They can't suddenly grow 3 inches. All these qualities are ways to describe guys like Perkins, Allen, and Delonte. If Danny sees that in Monta I guess I'll trust him for now.

Ainge has definitely gained my trust in his decision making. I even liked Brandon Hunter.
I've only seen Monta in the McD's game, and he didn't impress me. He did have some nice three pointers, but he missed more shots than he made. If Ainge is really serious about this kid's game, I think the direction he'll take us is with a backcourt of scoring guards who can handle the ball some. Being that he's high on Delonte already, if he's going after Monta Ellis, then I imagine he's going to pair them up together to make our backcourt a scoring backcourt without a true PG, ala Kidd, Nash, Stockton, etc. I was thinking he might be able to do this with Fransisco Garcia, being that Garcia is a SG who can handle the ball. But maybe Ellis' athleticism and quickness is more to Ainge's liking.

1 Andray Blatche (I hear he can't dribble and disappears in games. Since I don't like it when the Celts play with 4 guys I don't think they should draft him. And I hate those 4 year projects)
2 Ersan Ilyasova, some people in the NBA aren't even sure whta year he was born. I'm not sure he exists
3 Johan Petro (I have a bad feeling about this guy. Like he's a less talented French version of Channing Frye)
Note. The lowest a high school player has ever been picked who did well was Rashard Lewis at 32. The lowest a high school player who wasn't like 7 feet tall was ever picked who did well was JR Smith last year at #18, which just happens to be our pick. I think if 18 year old Rashard Lewis was in the draft this year he might be lottery

Eja117, welcome aboard to Celtics Green. My bust picks are Frye, and Taft. Though, anyone Danny drafts I value his opinion.

Wallace said recently that the team is going to draft the best player available, and it doesn't matter if that player is not going to contribute immediately. It would not surprise me if Ainge went with a very raw high schooler who may take years to develop. He's going after guys who think will have the most impact down the line. Maybe that player might be a college junior or senior like Joey Graham, or maybe a highly talented, but still under developed player like Charlie Villanueva, or a big project like Andrew Bynum.

Now a days, players are coming out too early, and spend the first 1-3 years developing in the NBA. Even if a player stays 4 years in college, you wonder why he didn't declare early?
It wouldn't surprise me that Danny takes Graham.
