I like West's shot from the outside as a 2. Plus he can play the point. Like some of you will compare players, like a Dana Barros but bet defense IMO. Solid bench/spot starter.

I like Lefty because he's a gamer. He can pretty much do it all on the court (rebound, pass, shoot). He's not going to be a star--most likely a solid role player for us. And I can live with that because he's a basketball player. He won't hurt us on the court--he adds to our team when he's playing.
I'd rather move Banks first because Felton basically is Banks but with the passing and leading ability. Felton is also unbelievably quick, got mean handles, and has a sturdy body like Banks does. But, boy, can he lead a team.

Trade West? Id move Allen first.
As far as these guys go like Granger, it seems any pick later on is gonna have some big flaw even if everything else looks good but weaknesses include a jump shot, ball handling. Reminds me of nba live when a team picks 20th and gets that kind of player with that pick. For example, a player is too slow but can do everything else but his slowness makes him not be all he can be.

you're right about the flaw thing meltin. from what i read granger and villanueva have less flaws than other sf options. and villanueva is more versatile but has less heart.

Allen stays because we need lock-down defenders.
Villanueva did play w/ more passion this year. Though,UCONN called no plays for him this year.

To go along with what you are discussing, Meltin, if Ainge had to decide between Delonte and Allen, I think he'll choose Delonte. This is not because he doesn't like Tony--but merely because Delonte is more of a natural basketball player; meaning he's more basketball smart. Tony Allen is a freakish physical specimen without a jumpshot and without a clear idea of what to do on the court sometimes. But he has the chance to be something special if he can put it all together. He's already much more ahead of Kedrick Brown because he actually makes things happen while he's on the court.
But Delonte is more the type of guy who resembles Ainge when he played with during his career--instinctive, savvy, basketball smart, crafty, thinker on his feet, etc. And for that reason, if he had to choose between one or the other, I think he'd sway towards Delonte.
As for the SF talk, I like Villanueva, I like Granger, ...... but don't count out Fransisco Garcia. He's not as athletic or as tall as the other two, but Garcia plays with the most heart and intensity, and he's got the best midrange and perimeter shot of the three. Plus, he's the best ball handler and leader of the three. His ceiling is not as high as the other two, but he's sure to be a solid pick.

usually the media overhypes europeans but come the draft day they disappear and good college players will go higher than originally expected.

Garcia, his age, 23 bothers me. Too old to draft someone w/ a first round pick. I would almost rather take a gamble on a high school pick like Ellis if I had to choose between the 2.

Excellent point. Though, we only have 1 first round pick this year, and drafting Garcia at age 23, well I think it would be a mistake, because we have no wiggle room for error.

I feel the same. I just see pure player potential written over west moreso than I see on Allen. On Allen, I see fancy dunks, slash in moves but no steady shots or key threes. Imagine if this becomes a problem with him like free throws do with Shaq? Then he really won't be much better off than Kedrick Brown. Keep in mind, Joe Forte also looked good at first with his baseline pull up that looked consistant and that turned out bad. Not saying Allen will turn exactly like that but never rule anything out with guys like him.

Till this day, I can't figure out how Forte turned out so wrong.

Me neither. I did hear he showed up in a celtics lockerroom with a lakers jersey and flaunted it.
