I would like to say pf or pg but this is only if GP walks and Walker stays but becomes a center due to the respect of Al J's developemnt and switching back to pf when Perkins gets more time. Blount of course would have to be traded though. If Walker goes and GP goes, our biggest need would be at PF and through FA sign a veteran pg who won't command many minutes at all or draft one in the 2nd round. Now SF can also be a big possibility especially if Paul Pierce gets moved.

Good question. From my perspective are biggest needs are the PG, and PF. True, we have rooks you are inline for the future, but that would be limiting ourselves.
Here are 3 players, which address are needs:
Felton - the guy is magic, and can run the show.
May - an absolute beast down low, who could also run the break. My top pick if available.
Simien - same as May, but will be selected much lower in the draft. Also, has some question marks like carrying a team, and injuries.

May - an absolute beast down low, who could also run the break. My top pick if available. Don't know if it was mentioned on here already, but i heard today that May was going to stay in college next year (of course that could always change) so he's probably not going to be an option...but i would love to have him too.

Taft is a guy I think has the potential to be a very good player in the NBA. He's a two way player--offensive and defensive. He's got excellent size, agility, and length.
And the intriguing part about him is that he hasn't really shown his total potential yet. He was under used at Pitt.
I can see him outplaying Perkins because of his offensive versatility and equally strong defensive abilities. He's an active shot blocker and disrupter. He's got a live body.
I like Bogut because he has a more intuitive feel for the game and because he's got more basketball smarts. But as for the natural ability to do things on the court, Taft is also very blessed.
RR, as you may, or may not know, I'm a big time Raymond Felton fan, and I would be ecstatic to have him in Celtics green. He's the motor to get our engine running on high octane. There's no other PG in the draft who I think can run a team as well as Felton can.
If we can somehow miraculously get Bogut or Taft, along with Raymond Felton, I will be a very very happy guy. As a consolation if we cannot get those guys, I'd be happy to get any combination of these guys: Garcia, Villanueva, Simien, May, Diogu, Dee Brown, and a few others.

we don't have a tall and versatile sf. villanueva or granger would be my top draft choices. a good center is always needed as well. pg position is also open

take it for what it's worth. I read in a Belgian newspaper (not known for their NBA knowledge, let me tell you that) that Detroit, Boston & a number of other teams are interested in drafting/signing Belgian player Axel Hervelle who plays for Real Madrid. He's a Forward, height 6'9" weight 230 year of birth 1983 plays +/- 20 min/gm in the Spanish league. nbadraft.net/profiles/axelhervelle.asp season highs: points 17 rebs 12 Take it for what it's worth...

I am thinking Danny has this draft covered...
>if we draft Felton, then Payton is gone
>if we draft may, Walker is senting packing
or
>if we draft Villanueva, Pierce is on the block
Felton addresses our biggest area of need, other than the center position, and we are not landing Bogut.

Felton addresses our biggest area of need, other than the center position, and we are not landing Bogut. We could use another PG but you can never go wrong getting a solid Big. You can use Bigs in trades were others might not gain the early value.

I think we will be solid at PG and Center if we rely on Delonte and Perkins. But the question is whether they will be enough to bring us a championship.
Getting Bogut or Taft is a bit of a stretch.
Getting Felton is less of a stretch, but will still require us to move up in the order.

First- West might be best a 2... A passing and running 2. Secound- Mt Perk only one more off-season in developement away from stud. He came into camp nice this last year, whey couldn't he come in next year ready to start? Age is a state of mind; body is a state of conditioning.

I don't think Felton is in our reach, even if we move up in the draft. Too many teams could use a good PG.
