This should be a good match up with KG having the advantage because of experience and a height advantage. In their last meeting in Rome, KG clearly had the advantage with 19 points and 16 rebounds to 12 points and 9 rebounds for Bosh. Kendrick Perkins vs Andrea Bargnani  vs  Andrea Bargnani is a #1 draft pick and has been showing why they chose him with some good performances so far this season. Perk and Bargnani have two very different games with Bargnani playing more on the perimeter and Perk playing inside. In their first matchup in the preseason, Bargnani outscored Perk 13-8 but Perk won the war on the boards 7-3. Expect the same to hold true for this game. Rajon Rondo vs TJ Ford  vs  This is a battle ot 2 ultra quick point guards as Rajon will be facing one of the few PGs who may be even quicker than him. In their first meeting, TJ outscored Rondo 15-4 with a slight nod to Rondo on assists 6 -5. With the point guard being the floor general, these two will be responsible for setting the tone for their teams and that may be the difference in the end. Game Notes: The Raptors are the defending Atlantic division champions and are out to send a message that last year wasn't a fluke. Not one of 30 GM's picked them to repeat as division champions and that will add fuel to their fire. After beating the Sixers 106-97, they sent a message to the Nets with a 106-69 thrashing in New Jersey. They would love nothing better than to send the same kind of message to the Celtics. Even through Green isn't with the team any longer, the Raptors and their fans still have some bad feelings about the Celtics resulting from his dunk at the end of a blowout two seasons ago , Keys to the Game:Defense The Raptors are a perimeter shooting team and can beat teams with threes. The key to this game is going to be controlling the tempo and playing tough team defense keeping them from getting into their rhythm beyond the arc. Ball Movement The Celtics have to move the ball and find the open man. We didn't do that for stretches against the Wizards, but won't get away with it against the Raptors who are playing very well and whose defense is much better than Washington's. |

This is a good matchup. We obviously have the advantage at the guard and SF positions. Toronto has a very good bench. I still think we win by 10-15 pts. Look for whoever Kapono is guarding which I'm guessing will be pierce to have a big game.

Should be a very good and close game, IMO. Any shortcomings in our still young on experience together team, will become evident. This should be a good test of overcoming from behind, if the 3s shooting of Toronto does give them an early lead. This should be a good teat of our team D with both driving gaurds, and keeping up tight defensively on their perimiter shooters; Tough test!
This early in their season together, at Toronto, with the additional D help Posey brings, Celtics by 5...

I also see this game as a bit closer than our first game. Yet I thought that game would be a little tighter.
Celts win by 8-10 points with Ray Allen and Perk taking on a bigger load.

FL, as usual I'm following this game through your posts. I saw the first game against Toronto live, and sure was tough. But the guys (especially Leon and Big Baby) must remember -- UBUNTU!

Rondo called for holding foul. Ford can't finish as Rondo plays great defense. Perk with the rebound. Perk misses a fall away and Bargnani rebounds. Raptors throw it away. Ray Allen goes in for a layup. Bargnani misses and Raps rebound. Kapono misses and Pierce rebounds. RA hits a 3. KG called for a foul underneath. Raptors inbound and Ford takes it to the hoop and lays it in. KG is doubled and lays it down to Perk for a two handed dunk. Ford misses and Rondo trracks down the rebound. KG's shot goes in and out and Raptors rebound. Bosh spins and misses. Good D by Perk. Celtics rebound. Pierce fouled by Kapono on the baseline on the pick and roll. Celtics inbound on the side. KG passes to a cutting RA Bosh blocks his shot. Raps miss and KG rebounds. Bosh with a block of Pierce's runner in the lane. Celtics inbound with 10 on the SC. Perk has to take the shot with the SC winding down. Short and Bargnani rebounds. KG rebounds the Raptors miss. PP turns it over. Ford pushes it quickly up court and Rondo is called for his second foul with 6:51 left in the first. Ford hits a fall away jumper. RA hits a 3. Ford misses and rebound goes out of bounds off Boston. The pace of this game is very quick. I can hardly type fast enough to keep up with it and I type pretty fast. Picking up with 5:15 left in the first. RA takes it to the hoop and draws the foul on Parker. He hits both FTs. House is in for Rondo who sits with 2 fouls. Ford hits a jumper. House is having trouble staying with Ford. PP takes it to the hoop and misses the layup but Perk is there for the tip in. Perk with good D on Bargnani. Ford takes it to the hoop and lays it in. House misses a jumper and Raptors rebound. Nesterovic gets the ball inside and lays it in. PP spins to the hoop and overpowers Parker for a layup. Ford misses and KG gets the rebound. KG misses in the lane and Raps rebound. Parker hits a jumper. Pass over the top for PP is stolen and Kapono takes it to the hoop for a layup. KG goes baseline and is fouled by Nesterovic. Time out with 2:02 left in the first and Celtics up 18-14

KG tries to go inside to Pollard but the pass is too high and the Celtics turn it over. Dixon misses from the corner. Foul called away from the ball. Raptors inbound. Pollard called for a reach in foul. Raptors inbound on the side. House called for a foul. Raptors inbound again with 14 on the SC. Raptors miss and Celtics rebound. Carrying called on RA. Nestrovic misses from the baseline and KG rebounds. RA misses a 3 and Bosh rebounds. Delfino hits a long 3. Celtics with a 24 second violation. Tony comes in for RA. Pierce back in game also . Calderon misses and Bosh rebounds. Nesterovic gets the ball in the lane and lays it in. KG with a couple of fakes and misses the fall away. Delfino buries another deep 3. Posey hits a 3 after Garnett has it slapped away and recovers. Delfino misses and tracks down his own rebound. Celtics hustle just wasn't there as Delfino beat two Celtics who were closer to the rebound to it. Calderon misses and TA rebounds. He gets it to House who hits a jumper off the catch. TA, House, Scal, KG, Posey on the floor now. Bosh misses at the SC. House rebounds. Celtics turn it over and Posey takes a charge to stop the fast break. Posey loses the handle but scrambles on the floor and knocks it out off the raptors. PP comes back in for TA. Celtics inbound with 10 on the SC. KG to PP and back to KG who hits a jumper. Raptors miss and rebound goes out of bounds off Raptors. Raptors with pressure on House as he bring it up. PP with a nice pass inside to Posey for a layup. Bosh with a couple fakes but KG doesn't fall for them. Bosh misses a layup as KG plays excellent defense to bother the shot. Time out with 5:25 left in the half and Celtics up 32-22
