Couple of things from the game. KG came up big in the 4th quarter. He's been labeled a chocker in crunch time, but you couldn't say that about him tonight.
Pierce really looked out of place. KG and RAllen seem to blend in really well, but right now, Pierce sticks out like a sore thumb. His penetration game was working, but he would often rely on his jumper (which wasn't falling).
Posey and House really had some big baskets off the bench. We need that from them every night.
I think Toronto is a solid team right now. They should be a top 8 team in the East. Their offense is pretty good, and it even seems their defense has improved. They are playing like a veteran team. They are no longer doormats in the Atlantic. With that said, they did give us a hard rub, but I wonder how much of that was due to our guys missing open shots?
As for our defense, I'm really glad we got Thibodeau. Toronto has been a high percentage offensive team so far. They shot 51% vs. the Nets and 49% against the 76'ers. But we held them done to 38% (against the Wizards, our defense only allowed 35%). Toronto had been averaging 106 ppg this season, but we held them down to 95 pts (including an overtime session).
