Celtics will inbound with 4 on the clock. Still no video. Just audio. Pierce inbounds to RA who hits a 3 with 2 on the clock. Parker misses a jumper at the buzzer. Celtics win 98-95 in OT.

Ray Allen seals the win w/ his 7th 3 of the night (and helped roadrunner w/ his fantasy team).

Ray Allen is truly the iceman. Screw George Gervin.

Anyways, hard fought win. Thibodeau did a great job even though the officials were terrible. Rondo had a pretty bad game, and had his hands full with Ford, but everyone else played well. Posey off the bench in particular. Garnett was huge down the stretch. Ray Allen was the man. Toronto is a tough team, and it was a tough game.

Ahem. I have to point out that the Celtics got NO offensive rebounds when Perk was off the floor. Perk is so important to this team but it won't show up in the stat sheets and you may not even notice it unless you watch him in games.

Perk is the man! See I think it will show up in the stat sheet eventually. He had 7 boards and 2 blocks and one key block. He only had 6 pts but i think ultimately he will be putting up like 10 and 8 a game and 2 or 3 blocks which is really solid for a center. But you are right that statistics don't do him justice. He played great defense and I noticed. He also is a huge difference maker on the boards. When we drafted him Perk's presence was not necessarily more important than jefferson's imo, but I always thought it was. You just cant see it in the stats, but when he is in the game I notice the difference. The one thing I wish Perk would work on, is stop bringing the ball down before he shoots it. He always does that and he really shouldn't. He is bgiger and should be going right up with the shot. His fakes are too slow to fake anyone out.

He had a nice fadeaway in the 1st half, but he missed it. His post moves look better to me and more solid this year..... The thing is what we need from Perk is his defense and presence. Just boxing out, playing solid D and taking advantage when he gets his shot in the post. He doesn't have to be a great post player, Just take advantage of his opportunities on teh offensive end. I think he can be a pretty good post player.
Between Garnett and Perk we have potentially the best defensive and rebounding frontcourt in the league. Garnett's defense on Bosh was incredible today. Perk did the same to Bargnani. They were giving them fits the 1st half. If it wasn't for the officials they never would have gotten on track.

A little disappointed in the C's almost giving this one away. The 4th qtr was horrendous! I really dont think Toronto is that good. I know everyone thinks the opposite. People say they have a decent starting 5 and TJ is a great PG, but their bench is pretty horrid and only 3 of their starters are actually starters in my mind. Bosh getting 5 blocks just means we took him for granted by not paying attention to where he was on D. I think we did pretty well on him, but he was able to pick up his game and pull off 19 and 10. However, he is horrid from the field. 5-15!! JEEZ!
On the C's side. Scal doesnt deserve 16 mins on the floor. P2 decided not shoot well beyond the arc and put up Toine like numbers. Rondo just set himself back a bit. Lil TJ really put a clinic on him. House did well, much much better than Rondo. Armond shoulda played TA more than 3 mins and put him on TJ @ point (I woulda). On another bad note, Perk is still foul prone. He strikes me as a little too awkward. At least, he crashed the offensive boards and played tough D.
Overall, not impressed. Good to know we can win in OT, but bad to find out the Big Trio has a weakness like this. Oh well, second game. Win is a win. Rondo better start pulling a Ray Allen and work long before and after games on his shot.
C's get a D- tonight.

Doc wasn't there Loy. The reason Bosh and Bargnani got going was because our frontline got in ridiculous foul trouble. We had them locked down for the majority of the game. I blame the refs and rondo allowing Ford to get where he wanted more than I blame Perk or KG. The refs were really horrible and kept Toronto in the game along with Ford. We were dominating the game for the majority and foul trouble caught up to us, and we hit some clutch shots. Rondo needs to play better I agree. His defense on Ford was really bad. And his offense was just as bad. Pierce had an off game as well, but Allen made up for it. Everyone else played well I thought. Perk got some very cheesy calls on him. I think 3 of Bosh's blocks were on Rondo taking terrible shots. It wasn't the rest of team not being aware of where he was. ROndo just took some really bad shots.

Yeah, sorry I forgot about Doc. I wan't blaming Perk or KG. And yes the Refs were horrid as well. Sometimes I think they are an extra player for the other team when they make bad calls, but we can't blame anyone but ourselves. Regardless if I said the C's weren't aware of where Bosh was, you certainly knew what I meant and when you play as a team, you get blocked as a team, you also win or lose as a team.
