Francis would be a good 2nd round choice as well. Though, you would think he would return to school. He won't go in the first round. But, loads of upside, as Hubie would say.

Francis would indeed be a good second rounder. And seeing how we got 3 of them, it would be nice to use one on him. His ceiling is not that high, but he'd make a pretty useful bench player.
I'm with you, RR. I think he ought to return back to ND for his senior year.

Hey Derren. Who would you like to choose with our 18th pick? Heres some of the guys I like:
Granger Sean May Johan Petro Charlie V Sisco Garcia
As for the second round choices, here's who I got my eye on (in no particular order):
Lawrence Roberts Luther Head Jawad Williams Julius Hodge
What I hope will happen is Granger at 18th, Roberts at 50th, and Head at 53th. I think that JWill and Hodge will be just out of reach.

E-Mac, for me its all about who's there. This is how I'd arrange the players you've listed:
Sean May Charlie Villanueva Fransisco Garcia Danny Granger **Johan Petro ( I actually don't know how he plays so that's why I list him last. For all I know, he may be the top one out of the guys you've listed).
May is the most polished and ready to contribute of the guys listed, so he goes to the top of the list. Next up is Charlie V. This guy has too much talent and potential to pass up, but I'd definitely ask him to play tougher if we get him.
Sisco Garcia is one of my favorite players in college because of how fiesty he is. Not really athletic, nor does he have a high ceiling. But he can do a lot of things on the court and he's a leader in the lockerroom and on the court.
Danny Granger is hard to pass up too. A double double guy in college at the SF/PF spot is hard to argue. Needs to work on his dribbling and his perimeter game for him to be an effective SF in the NBA.
A guy who may just end up at our door step is Andre Blatche. I really don't know much about him, but a 6'11" SF who can play the perimeter sounds like a guy we could use.
As for the second round, there are a ton of guys I wouldn't mind taking.
For PG's, I like Daniel Ewing, Nate Robinson, Luher Head, Chris Thomas, etc.
Big men, I like Torrin Francis, Lawrence Roberts, Eric Williams, etc.

I think he's more of a PF/SF. Says he's like a Garnett player.

I totally forgot about that Eric Williams guy. He'd be a nice addition. I like Robinson and Ewing as well.

Yep, I think Robinson could make a better pro than Earl Boykins, which is really impressive considering that Boykins is a pretty sharp player despite being only 5'8". Nate Robinson is quicker, stronger, more assertive, and more of a leader than Boykins.
Daniel Ewing is a mini catalyst. Ask him to ignite some points and he'll do it. He's got a fairly good three point shot and he can also penetrate. He's a pretty confident fellow and he's fiesty.
Both guys would be fine choices as second round picks, who could fight for backup duties with Banks (though Banks is looking more and more like he's got it nailed down these days). Chris Thomas is another one, but his game is more suited as a starter because of the way he likes to control the ball and the tempo of the game, and I'm not interested in him being our starting PG.

hey - they say that samardziski enters the draft. that would make things interesting

Seems like we all agree the 1rst rounder should be a selection like: May, Granger, Charlie V, perhaps Petro.
Granted, I have never seen Petro play, but the scouting reports think highly of him, and at 7 feet, 19 years old, I am willing to take a gamble.
Second rounders, we are in agreement there are several possbilities: Hodge, Head, Williams, Roberts, Thomas, etc.
Francis, I am willing to gamble on regardless of what occurred at ND which wasn't much.

yeah, if granger and jack are taken then drafting petro wouldn't probably be bad idea.

hey - they say that samardziski enters the draft. that would make things interesting Yes it would. I'd say that he's a guy who could go somewhere near 10 - 15. That would push someone down to us at 18. Or he could also possibly be there at 18. There's a good chance that Ainge could strike another gold mine at 18, just like how he hit the jackpot at 15 when we landed Big Al Jefferson.

He can also strike gold again by selecting May or Charlie V w/ our first rounder.
