Marvin Williams, Bogut and Paul should be the first 3 picks in the draft depending on draft work outs.
I wouldn't be surprise if Williams is taken with the 1st pick in the draft.

That is a big possibility. The kid is tall, quick, explosive, passionate, and talented. His skills are rather raw, but the potential is there. He can mix it up inside as well as having a decent three point stroke. He has really good form on his FT's, so its no coincidence that he's a competent shooter from the perimeter. I don't know about Paul being the 3rd pick. He could be, but his stock fell a bit this year. Plus, he's a rather short PG. My guess is that he's a top 6 pick, anywhere from 3 - 6.

Wow we win a lotto break for once 18 over 20 may not sound like much, but who knows 1 spot could mean everything.

Well, considering that we pulled in Big Al at 15 last year, we are only 3 slots away from there this year and this draft should be just as deep as last year's. Last year, the early part of the draft was more wing-player oriented. You had guys like Luke Jackson, Andre Iguodala, Ben Gordon, Dorrell Wright, Josh Smith, Jr. Smith, Kirk Snyder, Luol Deng, Josh Childress, Sergei Monya, Viktor Khryapa, Tony Allen, Delonte West, and a few others all going in the first round.
This year, the draft is more big man centered. We could have a very good pick at 18.

i certainly hope so. the questions that makes my little head wonder is - what the hell are we going to do with those second rounders. probably all decent players are gone by then. danny probably has to go the way he's not gone yet and the way san antonio has successfully gone before: that is drafting europeans...

I have a good hunch that Ainge will use those 2nd rounders to fetch us some proven college upperclassmen (juniors and seniors) who played in big conferences and attained All-American honors (sort of like Justin Reed and to an extent Brandon Hunter--both of them made their conference's first teams, though Hunter played in a weaker conference). I doubt any high schoolers will be available in the 50's, so if Ainge wants to go the high risk/high potnetial route, he could go for some international talents.

What if we trade the 50 & 53 picks to move up to say a 35-40 pick, two for one? Or for a higher pick in the 2006 draft? I say this just because we are young as it is. Do we need three picks this draft? We can fill slots via FA as well, for veteran help.

Teams don't normally do that--unless you are talking to early second rounders for a very early second rounder. But with our second round picks coming towards the end of the round, its not that appealing to trade for.
But it can be used to our advantage. College upper classmen may not have the high ceilings that many high schoolers and underclassmen have, but they are more steady and you sort of know what you will get with them.

Or Euro players I guess... We can use the 50 & 53 to develope players from over-seas or projects from the US.
Good point Derren. ;D

For the second rounders, here is my short list:
>Julius Hodge >Chev Troutman >Chris Thomas >Lawrence Roberts
W/ the exception of Troutman, all were highly touted high school players, whos stock dropped in college.

Thanks BC. Almost forgot...add Jawad Williams who probably is first 2nd round selection choice.
Roberts, Troutman - yes their height is why they will be second rounders, but they definitely have size.
