Warrick has done a nice job of raising his stock...

Warrick has done a nice job of raising his stock... Not really. His stock has actually dropped since last year at this time. He's a pretty solid athlete, but he's soft and not very instinctive. He's got a fairly good stroke from 12 feet and he's got a nice turnaround fade in the post. But he's not a versatile SF (can't dribble, can't shoot the three, not much of a slasher) and he's not a real PF. I like Charlie V a lot more than Warrick. My pick for SF depends on what we'll do with Pierce. If Pierce is not in our long term plans, I want to take Fransisco Garcia above any other SF. If Pierce is going to be a Celtic long term, V is the SF for me.

do you see charlie V as a bench player?

do you see charlie V as a bench player? If Pierce is here long term, and we draft Villanueva, I eventually see him being the starting SF next to Pierce. With Pierce being the type of player who demands the ball a lot, having a tall and versatile player who can shoot the three, score inside, rebound, and dribble, but most importantly, won't ask for the ball that much, is a good fit. This causes a problem because it pushes Allen to the bench, where Buckets has already planted himself as the 6th man.

A few years ago, I couldn't say "we have __ this guy" so we can't draft this guy. An improved team.
Right now, I am looking at three options: (not in any order)
1)PG - Felton or someone else who will start by year #2 2)C - not a deep draft at this position, but no on the celtics, including Mt Perk, people will think will start 3)PF - Wayne Simien; his name has not been tossed around but a solid player who is a beast in the blocks

Three excellent choices, RR. Wayne Simien is my top choice at PF's who are coming out this year. Other PF's who are on my list are: Sheldon Williams, Ike Diogu, Sean May, and Ronny Turiaf. I like Josh Boone a lot, but he'll be staying in college for another year or so (which is a good move).
Felton has been my favorite PG the past 2 years, and he hasn't changed my mind yet. Right behind him is Jordan Farmar on my list (but he's also a guy who'll stay in college for another couple of years).
I really want Bogut and I'm willing to trade Pierce away to get him. I don't feel the same way about any other collegiate Center.
All in all, I have over 20 players I would like to draft, so I'm fairly confident that Ainge will get at least one of them with the 1st and 2nd round picks.

If you had the #1 pick in the draft, Who would you take, Marvin Williams or Andrew Bogut?

If you had the #1 pick in the draft, Who would you take, Marvin Williams or Andrew Bogut? Hard decision, but I'd have to go with Bogut. Quality Centers are rare these days, and Bogut is a rare find. SF's are easier to find.

I think this is going to be a solid GM's draft. No per say Tim Duncan's, but alot of good players who could emerge.
I am going to have to disagree about Warrick. When I saw him play, he looked awesome. Though, Charlie V has too much of a ceiling pass.
I have a short list of players as well. Though, it seems like alot of the players I like are SFs. There are no centers in this draft (not including Bogut), and there are few PGs.

golden state is playing well right now, we may even get their second rounder this season

That would be sweet, because I think some of the predicated 1rst rounders who I like, Gomes as an example, could fall and would be a steal.

Whoa, so if we include GS's second rounder, I'm counting 3 picks coming to us in the second round this year:
Our own Sacramento's (from the Songaila trade) Golden State
What are we going to do with all these picks? ;D

i don't know. maybe package them to get a higher pick, early second rounder or hopefully even late first rounder. i think charlotte wants more picks...

I'd definitely be willing to trade 3 second rounders to get an early second rounder. Atlanta, Charlotte, New Orleans, Clippers, etc. We should be knocking on their doors.

i think danny does just that. ther's no point to draft 3 second rounders. there's even no quality europeans that late that many left.
