Hey guys, the NBA draft is just about 3 months away (this is my favorite time of the year ;D). If you can, try to watch as many NCAA games as possible. I have a good feeling that we'll be picking one (or more) of these players in the tournament. If you want to get a good look at potential future Celtics players, keep your eyes open during these tourney games.

Hodge may have played his way into the first round, but he will need a superior game if they play UNC/Villanova in the final 8.

Julius Hodge was a player I rooted for in his soph and junior year. But for some reason, his game deteriorated this year. His shooting has abandoned him, even at the FT line. And his explosiveness is almost non-existent and his first step takes 2 steps now. Don't know what happened to him. He still has that fire and coc-kiness, sort of reminiscent of Toine. In the past, I thought his game was like Josh Howard, but not any more. Its like he has no kick in his legs no more.

No, I know nothing about this kid except that he is a high schooler from Miss who can score a lot of points. BC brought his name up a few weeks ago. I read his name in some mock drafts in the past, but since I have yet to see any high school games this year, I didn't bother reading any of his scouting reports (I'm trying to form my own opinion on prospects rather than relying on hyped up scouting reports like I have in the past).
Well, its starting again. The annual "Danny guaranteed a spot" talk. I'm sure we're going to hear a number of prospects have been guaranteed a spot by Ainge before the draft in June.
I'm not saying he wouldn't. If Danny scouted this guy and loves him, I'm sure he would try and secure him as early as possible.
But at this time, its pure speculation from the writer. There are 29 other teams who could have guaranteed him and Danny is not the only GM who has guaranteed players in the past. He just seems to guarantee the most ;D
Now, about Monta Ellis: his height does raise a few eye brows. I mean, if we draft another tweener, we will have 4 players in our backcourt , 6'4" and shorter, who are tweeners (Banks, Delonte, Tony, and Ellis). Where do we use them all? Does it spell the end for Banks? Are we looking to find a possible replacement for Pierce?

I can live w/ this guy, if he is does not turn into Wallace's guarantee of kendrick brown. Wallace had one assignment that year, and couldn't have done worse w/ that draft.

He did pick one right one out of the 3, but he decided to trade that one away later in the year How sad is that? With all that we've done wrong, its time for us to run into some good luck.

I watched bits and pieces of the McDonalds All-Star game.
Monta Ellis isn't impressive as the draft sites make him out to be.
Gerald Green on the other hand, I wouldn't mind using a top 10 pick on him if I were a GM in the NBA. Look like he could be the real deal.

Alrighty, must mean DA will be selecting Charlie V then! You are high on CV aren't ya...? I see good things in him too - just not sold 100% on him yet. The problem I have is I'm not sure why... More a gut feeling that gives me second thoughts about him.

If Celtics want to get a big SF in the draft, Charlie V or Warrick would be the perfect fit especially Villenuva.
