im sure there are better deals out there, but if we want kg we have to give up jefferson. if we want someone else like camby we might have to give up Gerald, which i'm trying to avoid. how abuot kurt thomas or someone like that? those are the guys we might have to look at. i tend to think Ilgauskis is a step above that. otherwise we are looking at junk. there aren't that many centers out there. Darko is not someone we can afford unless we unload ratliff. we are at the cap currently. Darko is still one guy we can make a run at, but it would have to be a trade and why would orlando do that and take on a contract they dont have to when they rescinded his rights? If wyc wants to open his wallet and pay a tax for darko then that's what we would be doing. in other words darko more than likely isnt happening. its either trade jefferson or gerald for someone good, or just let ratliff play and let his contract expire and hope telfair shows up as well. or trade them for a lesser option like Z or someone else. i just cant think of anyone else. maybe there are pfs that might be available. we arent tied to making a deal. If one doesnt come along the smart thing to do might be to just let ratliff and telfair play. i just tend to think we are going to make a trade.

we need a veteran pg to back up rondo imo. Snow is not the answer. Ask a Cleveland fan about him. He is completely spent. He can't shoot, and he absolutely cannot defend anymore. If he were a FA right now, no team would touch him.

fair enough. hey btw interesting thing i noticed is when PP's contract expires is the year Greg Oden will be a free agent. We can always look forward to 2012.

Portland would be nuts to not sign Oden to Max dollars when his rookie contract is up. I can't imagine none of their young prospect all turn out to be bad player. I wouldn't be shocked to see them on top of the western conference in a couple years.

I'd like to get maybe a Varejo cause he doesn't have to have the ball to be successful. Total energy. Never backs down. Cheap.
Also I have to wonder how much Seattle would want for Delonte. Big Baby? Telfair, Ray, and Minnesotta's future 1?
I agree Scala should be playing for waaaayyy less money. He's the 2nd or 3rd last player I want on the floor.
I have thought Snow is the worst pg in league for a very long time. I think the only reason anyone ever respected him is that he was lucky enough to play next to AI in his prime, which gave him an automatic 5 assists a night, and played some D. Or at least it looked like it when he was next to no D Iverson.
I think Ilgauskas is over the hill and I don't understand why we would basically want to extend one 35 year old's big contract (Ratliff) with another one (Big Z) unless it's not for many years. I'm not 100% sure how feasible it is to have 4 big contracts on the team after this year, and then another one or two the year after that.

If i'm some other team playing us I put my two best defenders on PP and Ray, then double AL, then I make Rondo and Perk beat me. In the mean time I look at their bench and I see two competent bench guys. That's TA if he's 90 percent healthy, and Gomes and that's it. Powe and Davis have no beaten out Gomes. Nobody has replaced Delonte. Not only are our pg and center positions weak, but the backups are REALLY weak. I figure Al goes to center for 10 minutes a game, and maybe Powe gets to help a little. At pg they'll get some cheap vet and also try giving Bassy one last shot. I do think one guy will help and show us something. Maybe Perk will be healthy. Maybe B Wallace will help so TA can go exclusively to sg. Maybe Bassy will be better. Maybe Powe will help. But I don't think there will be any miracles at all.
