Cavs inbound on the side with 18 on the SC. Jones misses and West rebounds. Green rims out a jumper and Sasha rebounds. Pollard misses a layup as Perk gets a piece of it. Rondo rebounds. Green is fouled taking it to the hoop. He hits both FTs to put the Celtics up by 4. We need to get a couple stops now. Sasha misses inside as Perk bothers the shot and rebound goes out off the Cavs. Green takes it to the hoop and is called for an offensive foul. Celtics are over the limit and Varejao goes to the line. He hits both FTs. Lead is 2. West misses a jumper and Z rebounds. Jones has it rejected by Al out of bounds. Cavs inbond with 4 on the SC. Al blocks Sasha's shot and Perk rebounds. Rondo misses a layup as Al finds him on the cut and Cavs rebound. Hughes is fouled by Al as he takes it to the hoop. He hits both FTS to tie the game at 94. Perk misses a hook shot and Varejao rebounds. Z hits a shot in the lane and Cavs up 96-94 and 41 seconds left in the 4th.

That was very odd. The refs put a Celtic on the foul line with the game on the line with a marginal call. FL, did you spike the refs coffee this morning with green koolaid?

1.9 left in the 4th. Cavs come out with all their 3 point shooters. Cavs call a second time out, their final in regulation. Cavs inbound on the side. Hughes inbounds across court to Jones who misses a 3 from the corner as Ray runs at him. Celtics win 98-96 FINALLY the kids show they can do it without Pierce.

Good win tonight! The Celtics hung in there and beat a good team (albeit without the King). Lots of good positives to take home tonight.
FL, lets adjourn over to the Celticsstufflive show.

This is an impressive win. Both teams were without its star player, but we seriously had the handicap.
Consider the Cavs proven veteran players: Gooden, Big Z, Snow, Hughes, Marshall, Damon Jones and Pollard
Now look at our proven veterans: -------------------------------------------------------
Perkins was our lone player who has 4 years in the NBA. Everyone else who played tonight has played less than 3 years in the league
3 years: Jefferson, Delonte, Telfair 2 years: Gerald, Gomes 1 year: Rajon, Ray, Powe
This is very encouraging because it shows the growth our young players have made as a team. Individually, there are still a lot of room to grow. But playing as a team, they have pulled out a win against a playoff bound Cavs team. Yeah Cleveland was playing a lot of their young guys too, but for the most part, their veterans mostly played.
I'm also impressed by the number of players who had 4 or more assists. Jefferson, Green and Rondo had 4 apiece, and Perkins had 5.

We need to stop winning these games. We're so close to locking up 2nd worst record over-all, why blow it by winning these meaningless games? We def. have to lose our two remaining matchups with Milwaukee.
Why do they have to make this so tough on me?

We def. have to lose our two remaining matchups with Milwaukee. Why do they have to make this so tough on me? I know it doesn't make sense, but IMO, improving our record may increase our chances at getting the #1 pick. If Milwaukee moves below us, we'll have the 3rd worst record, but somehow I just feel that the ping pong balls will fall our way better. I know, it doesn't make sense.
