Celtics starting five picked up where they left off in the first half. Their energetic defense and smart execution on offense has given them the upper hand. Cleveland will have to rely on Larry Hughes, Donyell Marshall, and Varejavo to bail them out tonight.

Why did it take so long for Dufus Doc to play Perkins and Jefferson together? Tell me FL. My guess is because Doc is a dufus. I was calling for this all along. Some of it was injuries, though. last year one or the other was always out and this season Perk was hampered with the plantar fasciitis.

Q at the turn - Celtics have restaked themselves to a 10 point lead by decisively outplaying Cleveland with the starters. Perkins is developing into a very good big along with Big AL. Key point here with the dreaded 2nd unit in, though.

Once again - the second unit has squandered the lead quickly. I'm sorry for Telfair and Allan Ray. They will not see much PT next year I suspect (unless it is for another team).

When you think about it, our second unit is actually our 3rd unit because so many of our second and first unit guys are out. So when we get everyone back, we should have a very deep team. Cavs inbound. Telfair with some pressure in the back court. Sasha gets inside and lays it in. Al gets to the basket for a layup. West, Al, Gomes, Telfair and Green on the floor. Cavs miss a layup. first tip no good. Second tip good. Al misses in the lane and Varejao rebounds. Sasha gets the ball inside and lays it in to tie the game at 84. Gomes takes it to the basket and has it blocked out of bounds. Celtics inbound with 8 on the SC. perk and Rondo come back in. Green fouled by Sasha. West misses a jumper and Cavs rebound. Gibson misses and Rondo rebounds. Gibson gets a steal from West. Varejao hits a jumper to give the Cavs their first lead. Al works on Pollard and misses a hook shot but is fouled. Time out with Cavs up 86-84 and 5:48 left in the 4th

This time Cleveland has taken the momentum and taken the lead with Pavlicek and Varejavo. Their starters have not played well tonight.
We have our starters back in.
Can they respond?
