Telfair is in and Wally out. 8.3 left in the 4th. he hits the second. Cavs with a time out leading 105-104 and 8.3 seconds left in the 4th.

Tony, Green, Wally, Al, West on the floor. James is fouled immediately on the inbounds pass. he hits the first. Hits the second. Celtics inbound. Delonte pushes the ball up quickly and gets it to Wally who misses a straight away 3 at the buzzer.
Final score Cavs 107 and Celtics 104. The Celtics played very well considering they were playing 5 on 8 for most of the game. They played hard and if they had had even half the bad calls and non calls go their way, they would have won this one solidly. But they didnt hang their head because of the bad calls and just kept coming.

Q's postgame thoughts - Overall a nice effort by the Celtics who competed against the Cavaliers and frankly outplayed them and deserved a better result. Doc had decent utilization of his troops tonight. The Lebron buzzer beater and the imbalance of FT's were the difference tonight. I got a feeling a lot of games are going to be like that this winter. As long as the kids work together and improve, then I am happy no matter what the final record ends up being. Perhaps it is our turn to get that #1 overall pick.

A lot of positives tonight. Green was awesome, and he and Allen showed they can be a great combo. Along with Pierce that is going to give the C's a really good 3 headed monster there. I want to see more Perkins with Jefferson. That was working really well for the C's early in the game, but Doc went away from it for some reason. Delonte deserves to be the starting pg and played really solid, he just needs to stay healthy, and Telfair was very good as well but struggled defensively. Gomes, and Wally should be relegated to the bench as consistant players imo. Rondo, Scal, Powe should be utilized as well. I see this team really shaping up nice. I'd like to see Pierce sit out a couple more weeks and let this team really gel.

This was the best game the young players have put together. They played very well in spurts, and if the refs weren't in chahoots to lose this game for us, we would have won.
Positives
Granted, it was mostly in spurts, lot of the young kids had their moments to shine, and give us big time optimism about our future. Starting with Jefferson. 11 pts in the 1st quarter, most of them coming off of the much taller Ilgauskas. Al was getting his points in an assortment of ways. He was not only scoring from the post, but he was also collecting offensive rebounds and putting them back in. Plus, we were finally running pick and rolls, which resulted in Jefferson getting a dunk (off a feed from Allen) and an easy layup (off a feed from Delonte). We need to do more of this because it opens up the floor for both Al and the ball handler. Finally!!!
Tony had another one of his splendid nights. Its become the norm for Allen to put up 20+ pts. Had an all around game with 5 boards, 4 assists and 2 steals (plus his customary 3 turnovers). He and Al need to work the two-man pick and roll more because it'll either result in a dunk for Al or a layup for Tony.
Gerald, Gerald, Gerald!!! Come alive young man!!! His shot was sweet tonight. He had it working on slashes to the lane, quick shots off the curl, and spot ups from behind the arc. This kid is just scratching the surface of his offensive potential and we still have a lot more to see. Doc did the right thing by playing him and calling plays for him. He even defended Lebron and had some success.
Delonte had his moments as well. He hit a couple of shots which he had been passing up, and if he can continue taking those kind of shots, defenses will not sag on Jefferson as much. He had 8 assists, which actually surprised me because I didn't know he had that many.
Sebastian needs to keep taking those elbow jumpers after he comes across picks. He's open almost all the time because defenses look for him to penetrate after the picks or pass to the roller. He's got to become consistent at hitting those jumpers. If he can give us 12 pts a night from plays like this, we are really going to be rollig (same with Delonte).
I think we did an exceptional job tonight, battling a good Caveliers team, without our star player. This is an encouraging game that reflects our bright future.

Enjoyed reading all the comments. Impression:
1. Seems Al tailed off some after the first quarter.
2. Tony was apparently hitting some jump shots tonight.
3. Looks like Gomes was manhandled tonight by a bigger 4.
4. Very promising game by Green.
5. Hard to tell from stats what congtribution Perk made.
6. Cs were right with the Cavs in assists, rebounds, and TOs.

I want to see more Perkins with Jefferson. That was working really well for the C's early in the game, but Doc went away from it for some reason. This is what frustrates me the most about Doc; not only his reluctance to stick with this combo specifically, but also in general his failure to stick with combos that seem to be working. He tinkers too much, then falls back on the players he feels most comfortable with, even if they aren't 100% healthy or playing well. But overall, promising game by the Cs.
