The Nets are coming off a terrible west coast swing and play Tuesday night at home against the Bobcats. This can be a good thing for the Celtics or a bad thing. It is hard to tell as the last time the Celtics came into the NY game well rested (although banged up) and played terrible. We need to come out with energy, particularly on the defensive end. When we commit to defense we win, and when we don't, we don't win. Especially against this NJ team, we have to play defense for 48 minutes. We need to limit turnovers. We give away way too many points by turning the ball over.

Tonight's game could go either way. Nets are hungry for a win and if we leave the door open for them, they are going to push right through. We have to attack the basket and make them work on defense. We also have to play defense and not let them get to the basket. Since they played last night if we make them run and make them work, we have a good chance to win this.
Telfair, Gomes, Pierce, Perk, and Wally starting for Boston. Kidd, Carter, Kristic, Collins and R Jefferson starting for NJ. In the play by play I will use Al and Rich for the two jeffersons.

Hello Hello!!!
Back from a week long recess.
The Celtics and Nets are locked up in a tight affair so far. We have no answers for Jefferson and Kristic. Nets have no answers for Pierce, Telfair, and Szerbiak. Should be a good one.

Q at the qtr - The Celtics are staying with a team on a 6 game losing streak. Actually both sides are playing fairly well tonight and this looks like it will be a very good game.

THis bench unit is not bad - I wish Rondo would play though. I don't know why he was taken out of the rotation. Jefferson is back and looking like he should be the starting PF. I think he would be on at least 23 other teams. Gerald Green looks very smooth, too.

Yeah I agree. It seems like Doc is finally getting a pretty solid rotation going...

Same players stay on the floor. Kidd hits a mid range jumper. Al gets the ball in a double team but somehow gets to the basket and lays it in. Moore draws a foul and goes to the line. He hits the first misses the second. Al called for a travel. Adams takes it to the basket along the baseline and hits a scoop shot. Green hits a 3. Adams gets the ball under the basket and lays it in. Scal's pass is almost picked off but goes out of bounds off NJ. Wally and PP come back in with Green West and Al. PP throws the ball to Kristic. Another back door cut by Williams for a layup. PP draws the defenders in the paint and lays it down to Al who powers up and lays it in and draws a foul. He hits the FT. Kidd misses a 3 and Green skies for the rebound. Green brings it up and misses a 3. Kidd goes for the rebound but steps out of bounds. Time out with Boston up 43-40 and 5:54 left in the half.
We are letting them get to the basket too easily. We have to play better defense. Doc has them playing zone but it isn't working.

Al Jefferson, I believe, leads all Celtics scorers off the bench, punishing weak NJ big people time and again. Note that Pierce is making a concerted effort to get the ball in Al Jefferson.
