The Celtics are having trouble defending the pick and roll and back door cutters, but New Jersey has gotten away from that and gone to ineffective dribble penetration. Pierce is doing a nice job on VC so far.

Except for the last bonehead play by Pierce, the Celtics did well. I am a bit suspicious of Powe and Rondo being pidgeonholed on the Boston Bench and that Scalabrine and West are getting all the time. I suspect a showcasing directive from the executive board. Might we see a deal for an experienced big man? Perkins doesn't look like himself, is something wrong with him. I like Bassy's agressive offense and he is keeping Kidd out of the lane.
Celtics have winning chances tonight.

Perk has a bad case of plantar fasciitis and is playing in pain. He didn't practice the past two days trying to rest it.

Celtics are assuming command as frankly, New Jersey has very poor energy. Celtics must break this wide open.

Then again, Kidd has other ideas as he gets 6 points and dishes to RJ for 2 more points.
Doc should try using his bench to wear down the Nets and get control of this game.
We must not lose this.

Game is far from over, the Celtics lost their intensity and Kidd took advantage of that. Hopefully, with Kidd and Jefferson on the bench, we can build that lead back.
Pierce and Wally need to rest too.
Perkins with plantar fascitis is very disturbing.

The ball movement has disappeared and so has the Celtics game. This is what you get when you miss your chance to blow out an experienced team like the Nets.
